That's a bold statement.
Nonetheless the guy is an animal. He definately has some potential after seeing him hang on to the Yellow Jersey.

Contador has shown so far he is wants to be one of the sports elite riders. The similarity to Lance is that both, Lance and Contador after life threatening injuries (cancer & tumor), have a renewed outlook on life and plan to make the most of it. Lance has done it with 7 titles, Contador is showing the same determination with his attitude and riding style.

I don't know about being the next Lance Armstrong but I love this guy.!!!! There is like no cracking point from him every time he goes for a attack the den was there but I think that he can break the big den but he has to ave alot of guts to do something like that which i think he does. I also think Johan is a bad *** manager he plays his cards right every time...... I think if you got all that success from Lance than you know what will work and wont.

I don't know what they mean by "the next Lance." I think that's kind of ridiculous. But I really think that Contador is going to be a star. He climbs with the best of them and the accelerations that amke a good rider great. he is entertaining, a good personality, and great for the sport.

basso just got handed a two year ban. he wont be back next year.
i dont like comparing one athlete to another. that isnt fair. contador will be contador, whoever that is destined to be. he is a fantastic climber obviously. what remains to be seen is how is he at the race of truth (time trial). rasmussen and he are almost equal in the mountains. if he is going to win, contador has to beat rasmussen in the TT. we'll see. every great champion dominates in the TT, and that will tell a lot.

This guy is having the tour of his life and the first year he is ever in it..... I dont think he will be the next Lance though because Ivan Basso is coming back next year and he will lead Team Discovery

I don't think he'll be the next Armstrong, but you never know. He's exciting to watch and the rest of the tour will be great if he and Rasmussen continue to battle it out.
