I've steered clear of AVG since I tried AVAST (wwww.avast.com) hen AVG had some updater issues. Installed avast it found 5 infections AVG had missed.
But it's a personaly recccomendation, so make you own choice . . .

I like Active Virus Shield. A lot. Active Virus Shield is made by Kaspersky which is one of top-rated anti-virus vendors in the world. Best of all it's free.

your best bet for a FREE virus program is AVG anti virus.
