I'm looking for names of over the counter creams--my pediatrician said to try Aquaphor, but it hasn't made a difference, and when I put it on he cries, which makes me think it might be stinging him or something.
Help? He's SO miserable right now...

Hi Merissa

Here is a herb remedy that will work.

1. Take 1-3 droppersful of Echinacea Plus Tincture (at herbdoc.com or another qualified site) to strengthen the immune system.

2. Rub Garlic oil ALL over the affected area (Garlic will kill anything if you use enough of it)

3. Give 1-3 glasses of Activated Charcoal Slurry per day (to absorb the toxins out of the blood)

4. Mix equal parts of Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm Powder and Activated Charcoal Powder together (absorbs the toxins externally)

5. Apply a thin layer of this mixture over the AFFECTED area(s).

6. Continue this treatment, until the desired Results are achieved.

This is healing at it's highest point. May seem extreme, but healing the issue is the result.

Cause
Eczema is often called Dermatitis, and may be a symptom of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Eczema can be due to allergies, allergies secondary to digestive disorders such as hydrochloric acid deficiency, rashes secondary to immune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, and/or nutritional deficiencies, especially of niacin (vitamin B3) and B6, as well as other B vitamins.

To minimize your risk of developing eczema, avoid irritating substances, wear natural nonirritating materials, use soothing ointments, and check to see if dietary, nutritional, and/or and allergy-causing factors need to be considered.

Other ideas that will help:

Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help speed healing: black currant and red grapes; carrot, beet, spinach, cucumber, and parsley; and wheat grass juice.

Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin A and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 essential fatty acid found in high quantities in evening primrose oil, have both been shown to improve the symptoms of eczema. Vitamin E. Other useful supplements for preventing and reversing eczema include vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, and zinc.

Topical Treatment: Apply evening primrose oil directly to cracked and sore areas of the skin. A topical paste made from ginkgo and licorice root extract has also been shown to improve eczema symptoms.

Best of health to you

I'm not a doctor, but it seems that excema is becoming more and more common among babies. I've seen some amazing actual before and after photos of babies with excema using the Arbonne Baby Care Line. It's a product line you must get through a rep. I have sensitive skin and have excema under my eyes right now and have started using the baby wash, and baby lotion and it has taken the itch away. If the excema is on other parts of the body, the Arbonne Baby Oil also helps. Is your baby on breast milk? Perhaps he's allergic to something you are eating or if he's eating other food, something he's eating. Good luck. I hope you not only find a treatment to help the symptoms, but also find the cause. Feel free to email me if you have further questions.

I promise this works and it came from my pediatrician. Noxcema. Us it in the am and pm. My husband and little boy used to be covered with Eczema and after 4 days they both were practically clear. Once you have it completely gone which took about a week for my son when he was only 8 weeks old and 2 weeks for my husband because he was only using it at night, all you will need to do is use a great moisturizer. I use on my little one mary kay extra emollient night cream about 2 or 3 nights a week and on his diaper area nightly and he has no signs of eczema any more. Now when I forgot it on our 1 week vacation it came back in blazes, judging from my 45 yr old husband this is a lifelong thing.

Good luck!

My son also had it as a baby and still does. My pediatrician put him on a steroid cream for two weeks than told me to use Vaseline after baths to hold the moisture in. Lost of lotion in between baths. It worked great. But nothing worked previous to the prescription cream. It cleared it up enough that OTC remedies worked.
