SING! sing all the time. all different kinds of songs. loudly, softly, high voice, low voice,smoothly, rough.practice holding a note as long as you can. time yourself even. sing sing sing. record yourself and listen. join a choir. sing.

Well, I took private singing lessons when I was younger, but the way I learned how to use my voice and know that I could actually sing was by listening and singing to Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey songs and found out that I could do many tricks with my voice and sing as high as they could.

The only thing that I can think of is find someone on the Internet, maybe there's a DVD, or Cd that you could buy. Go on google and type in how to learn how to sing without a teacher, google is a great search engine, and if it's out there you'll find it there. Good luck !!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this head set on an infomercial once that comes with software you download on the computer. You sing into the headset and it grades your singing and helps you improve. I can't think of the name of it but I bet if you google something like.... learn to sing as seen on TV.... you will find it.

Join the school or community choir.

I belong to a community chorus and have learned more from my choral director than I did from any voice teacher.

Join a choir, in school, or church... you can gain great knowledge from sining in a large group!
