This mouthpiece is actually made of a gold coloured metal and is shaped like lips.

Please, SERIOUS answers only.

To clarify: I did not say they were Islamic women. Also, this gold mouthpiece was worn over the actual mouth area right over the niqab. I saw this in London, England.

No disrespect intended for anyone.

Never heard of this, and if the individual in question is indeed Muslim, jewelry would not be chosen over Hijab. Do you know of a site about this on the web? Other than that, I would not say this individual is a Muslim, or at least a non-observant Muslimah.

I am muslim, and I have never heard, nor seen this. What are you referring to? I have lived in the usa, and the middle east, and I have no idea what you are talking about. It is NOT an islamic thing you are talking about...that is for sure. Maybe some kind of cultural piece of jewelry, and the women happen to be muslim...but that doesnt mean its Islamic. Hijab covers the hair and niqab covers the face.

Hello There!
I'm a muslim woman and I also wear niqab and this is something I've never seen or heard of. It has no basis in our religion. Thanx for asking though:).

This has nothing to do with Islam. I never heard of or seen this. Maybe you mistaken this woman for a Muslim.
