You should. Chemo reduces your ability to fight infections. That is why you need to come in between cycles for a blood check. It is best not to have artificial nails, get a manicure, pedicure, facial. If you work outside, you must be extra cautious and wear gloves so that your hands will be protected from cuts. It is also good to keep away from people who are sick.
When in doubt, check with your Dr..

No you don't have to but it would be a good idea. chemotherapy does reduce your ability to fight any sickness or infections. Artificial nails can cause a fungus infection of the nail. You might not be able to cure it. When I had chemotherapy for breast cancer my nails actually grew.

No, you can wear an artificial nail, wig or whatever you want to wear. All you do is sit in a chair while they intriventiously put the chemo in your body. Good luck.

When you look good, you feel good!
The more positive you feel for your Chemo treatments the better you will cope with them.
Keep your nails, do your makeup, wear chearful colours and help yourself and those around you to cope better!
