if you burn about 500 3-4 times, that burns about 1500-2000 cals per week. to lose a pound you have to burn 3500. around 3-4 weeks in a month, that makes it 10500-14000 cals per month. you will probably lose 2-4 pounds in a month. but not 8-10. do to that, hun, you will have to be on a MAJOR diet or much more exercise. if you really want to, for the first week do five miles a day (7 days), and the second week do five miles monday-wednesday and seven the other half, then do seven the third week. the first week you will lose exactly one pound, the second week you will burn 4300 cals, or about one pound, the third week you will burn 4900, only 1000 cals away from two pounds.
total you will burn 12,700 cals, or about 4 pounds. with dieting it should go up to five or six.
and remember, after you run you are still burning calories sitting down because your muscles. so dont go eating cake after.

Despite the legions of people who are misled by the multi-billion dollar diet industry, weight loss is not about 'dieting' nor 'science'. Its about lifestyle changes.

If you live a healthy lifestyle (i.e. eat good foods and exercise regularly) then you don't even have to think about calories or time limits. You will lose weight PERMANENTLY. Isn't that what you really want?

If you only 'diet' for a month. Then what? Go back to the same old thing that got you overweight in the first place?

Don't be in a hurry. Be patient and make slow evolutionary changes and you will find that you will lose weight AND not even want to return to your old habits.

You are doing great, and your weight loss goal is realistic.

I am walking briskly around the distance you do a week.
Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs, you will not have problem losing some weight and fats.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

that sounds great. your on the right track. just consume proportioned meals and not more than 2000 calories. work out earlier in the day, and also have dinner 1 hour before bed if u have consummed more calories than u normally would in a day.
