I am NOT! I love my kids being home. We camp for weeks at a time and play all summer. Summer is such a special time for our family. I am a stay at home Mom and love being with my children. We ride bikes, play, swim, fish, etc and I wouldn't want to change a thing. Not every day is perfect, but it is the life that I chose.
A friend of mine is a stay at home Mom and is counting down the days until school starts.
How do you feel?

No I am not ready either. I think I am more stressed out than my son. I work part time, but I enjoy summer it's just less complicated. I am really stressing about whether he will have a good teacher, how his curriculum will be etc. etc. UGH! I am sure once school starts we will be fine!

NO!!!! i'm not... i don't want my child to hardly leave my side for safety reasons. he'll be 5 in aug. and it really scares me for him to go to school with all of this junk that happens in school. he went to preschool last year, 2 days a week, 3 hours a day. i was sorta ok with that as it was a preschool only, no other ages there. it was closed to the police dept as well as the fire dept. i had lots of concern there also, but felt safer with him being there rather in a public school. i am so against public school, that's just me. i was there and don't want my child to go thru that and i know it's worst now. i am more serious about him going to a christain school which is less than 4 miles from our house. i know things can happen anywhere at anytime, but i feel he would be safer there than in a public school.... :>)

Mixed feeling. I am a medically retired stay-at-home dad. I will enjoy a little more time during the day, but at the same time will miss my daughter.

Hello:

Yes,I am ready for my daughter to go back to school! Now don't get me wrong,I love her with all of my heart, but she is definitely ready to go back to school and see her friends, because she has been getting kind of snippy lately with my DH and I.

When my daughter is in school, she is ready for bed by 9:00 at night and she sleeps like a baby! ;-)

i see what you mean, as they probably want to go to school, because school's fun at that age.

but just wait until they're 12+! you'll have to fight them to go to school, Lol.
