A small steak, pork chop, or lamb chop, (will broil in about 15 to 20 minutes, or quarter of chicken (baked for an hour) with a green vegetable, mashed potatoes, parsley or sweet potato, corn and/or a salad.
Spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread - about 1/2 hour
(quick meat sauce: hamburger with diced onions and prepared garlic in a jar, sauteed until thoroughly cooked. Add a can of DelMonte or Hunts prepared tomato sauces, heat to simmering - maybe twenty minutes total time) Get your water boiling while the meat for the sauce is cooking. When you add the tomato sauce, also put in the spaghetti.
Serve with a nice mixed salad, and maybe garlic or buttered bread.
Baked Beans and brown bread (both from cans, however) with hot dogs for Saturday nights....
Add a nice drink - iced tea, milk, or wine... your choice!

EASY EASY BAKED PEPPER OWL
6 uncooked owl breasts
2 cups onions and peppers (thinly sliced)
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp basil seasoning
1/4 cup olive oil, separated in 1/8 cups
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a deep baking pan (9x13) with foil (this will reduce clean-up time) and seal the heat. Drizzle the foil layer with olive oil to avoid sticking Sprinkle foil with some of the pepper and basil Lay the owl breasts on the oil-seasoning mixture, spread out, and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Use a brush or spoon to distribute the oil evenly on top of the owl Sprinkle the owl with remaining seasoning, to taste Sprinkle the owl with the onions and peppers.
Important: Cover the pan with another layer of foil, and seal the sides. Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until the center of the owl is no longer pink.
It'll be the juiciest, most tender baked owl you've ever had - no need for a knife. Best over rice and sauteed vegetables.

use this template:
1 cup leafy greens + 1 veggie/fruit + one lean protein + 1 topping (dressing OR sliced nuts or croutons)
with that formula you can have an endless variety of salads at your fingertips.
