Do you eat chicken? If so, chicken is pretty easy to bake. Just wash it thoroughly with clean running water, use a little salt and pepper on the skin, place it skin side up on a baking pan, and bake it at 350 to 400 degrees for about an hour.

Put it on a dish with some nice side vegetables like asparagus, or green beans, or broccoli, or spinach
and maybe mashed potatoes (cut your peeled potatoes in small cubes to cook quickly by boiling, and when very tender, you can mash them with a fork or mashing tool, adding milk and butter and salt (a very little at a time until the right consistency and taste) or sweet potatoes that you baked at the same time with the chicken, or a nice salad of fresh vegetables, or maybe some corn...

It only takes about an hour and a half to prepare and cook. Do the vegetables after you have the chicken cleaned and in the oven baking, and have set the table. Maybe with some flowers and candles, too for a nice ambience.

Put on serving plates and carry to the table.

7 Layer Bean dip:

Mix sour cream and cream cheese,
layer on refried beans (no lard)
then add tomato/salsa,
onion,
lettuce,
and mexican blend of cheese on the top.
Ole!

Mexican food is good.

Try and indian dish: Palak paneer, search it on the web. Serve with rice.

Make a home made pizza.

Dude, buy a freaking cook book for god's sake.

Rachael Ray is the best.

Food Network is also great.

This is an easy favorite of mine (this serves four, but it makes good left overs too) Plus except for the sodium level it is pretty healthy

Ginger Asparagus Chicken
2Tbs. Oil, divided
1lb chicken cut into 1 inch pieces
3/4 lb fresh asparagus cut into 1" pieces
1/2 tsp ground ginger
4 green onions cut into 1 inch pieces
2 medium carrots, sliced diagonally
1(10-3/4 oz) can Campbells cream of asparagus soup
1/4 cup water
1Tbs Soy sauce
Hot cooked rice
In 10-inch skillet or wok over medium-high heat, in 1 Tbs oil, stir-fry half the chicken until browned. Remove and set aside. Repeat with remaining chicken. In same skillet, in remaining oil, stir fry asparagus, onions, carrots and ginger 3 minutes or until tender-crisp. Stir in soup, water and soy. Heat to boiling. Stir in reserved chicken. Reduce heat to low. Heat through, stirring occasionally. Serve over rice with additional soy if desired.
