The best thing you can do, is get together with other believers and pray.
They will stand with you and believe God with you....A three fold cord is not easily broken!

The easiest way to defend a certain point of view is with proven facts that support your idea. The reason you have such a hard time is because you have nothing to back up your beliefs but faith. I the bible truly was the word of god, why would he leave so much room for debate? There isn't one single shred of evidence that anyone can provide to support their religion. The real question you should be asking is, "Why do I continue to believe these things I have been taught, when no one can prove to me that Christianity is anything other than opinion?"

The bible is there to help you with that one. Read your scriptures that pertain to the attack you are under. Pray for the attacker/s. Thank God the battle is not yours, and he has already won it for you. Use kindness to slay your opposers. Use love to defeat the enemy. Obey Gods word. Follow his commandments to you. Thank God for your victory. When you have done all you can stand. Stand on him your solid rock. He is your fortress, your strong tower in a time of trouble. Hide under the wing of the almighty. Give him the praise and the glory for all he has and will do for you.

These are just a few ways to go through the fire and not smell like smoke. It is for a season, and for a reason. Reason out why this is happening to you, remedy the reason, stop the season.

Listen carefully, think about content of dialog, think about it a little bit more, and choose to respond, or not. Counter-attack is non-productive and just escalates the level of irrational lash-out. A soft word, sincerely spoken often diffuses an attack. Also, while you are standing firm, double check you aren't standing in quick-set cement.

The first and most important thing is to realize that you are under attack. Satan comes as an angel of light at times and he is most devious. When I am certain that I am under a Satanic attack . I pray a very powerfull prayer. It is a prayer that should not be used for just any situation or temptation, but reserved for attacks from the evil one and his children . Satan and his fallen angels (demons), and Satan worshipers can be made to flee by this fervent prayer , spoken from the lips of a true and righteous saint.. Oh LORD, Shelter me under the blood of Jesus, and rebuke thou Satan away in the name of Jesus . This prayer has worked miracles and sent the evil ones packing . Remember James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Also I follow the advice of John Bunyan who wrote Pilgrims Progress (which I highly recommend) . In his short story " Grace Abounding" he advises Christians to not forget to pray for power to overcome future temptations. In other words, don't only pray when you are tempted for strength , but pray for strength for resisting temptations that will come tomorrow and next week and next year, etc. I find that this works.

And lastly of course put on the whole armour of God!

spirital warfare can only occur two ways- genocide/holucaust where members of a religion are being killed or a personal problem.

for the first one- unless you live in china, africa, or the south asia/middle east region you don't have much to worry about.
the best way to handle this is to try and flee to somewhere safe. if not you have the option of being vocal and being killed for it or keeping your faith quietly to yourself. I'm not saying you should lie but if you aren't asked what you believe you shouldn't parade it around.

for the second- you must figure out on your won why you feel as if you are in a religious battle.
is it a lack of faith due to something that has happened?
a spiritual pull in a direction you don't feel comfortable in going in?
are you simply questioning your destiny?
I suggest praying, even if you must rant at god or tell him/her you are angry with them. reading, talking with others, and listening to your conscience/inner voice.
you might even find inspiration is silly things like fictional novels (for those who have studied literature you know there are common elements to each story including, the hero and good over evil)

personally I am against organized religion. when people get together their views replace god's views. I wouldn't recommend speaking in specifics with others. for instance- asking what they do when they feel their faith is at stake is okay, but asking what they think about spiritual matters might not be a good idea.

Ephesians 6:13-18
"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”

Quote Scripture. Pray scripture, remind yourself of the promises of God. I pray: Lord your Word says...---Lord Your Word says.... Lord Your Word says... His Word does not come back void. ( He doesn't need reminding what the Word says, you do.) Stand. And remember Greater is He that is in you, then the one that is in the world. Stand hold on to His Word. Stand! Fast if need be, listen to His voice and Stand on His Word! May the Lord be with you & grant you Peace of mind & heart and courage to STAND ! Amen,

1. Remember that your beliefs are non-negociable.
2. Know that people who want to convert you cannot be reasoned with, they will always tell you you are wrong, no matter what you say.
3. In these cases, the best defense is silence, the best attack is turning around and leaving.

You shouldn't worry about what someone says. Most corruption starts when somebody allows them to be corrupted. If you know your stuff and are able to back it up without being drawn into a dispute, don't worry.
