What is the kingdom of God?

How do we seek the kingdom of God?

And, if we are the kingdom of God, as some say, why would
we seek something, if we are already a part of it?

Please refer to this verse:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.” -Matthew 6:33

I will only choose a logical answer, as the best answer.

Thanks :)

The kingdom is the dominion and rule of God.

Jesus told some of his followers that they would SEE the kingdom --
Mk 9:1 Jesus said to them, “What I’m about to tell you is true. Some who are standing here will not die before they see God’s kingdom coming with power.”

Jesus told Pilate that his kingdom was NOT "of this world." Jn 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not part of this world. If it were, those who serve me would fight. They would try to keep the Jews from arresting me. My kingdom is from another place.”

During Jesus' ministry, the kingdom was often spoken of as a FUTURE reality, like Mark 9 above.

The only thing that fits the "kingdom coming with power" from Mark is the miraculous event at Pentecost after Jesus' death and resurrection. It accompanied the first Gospel sermon and the beginning of the church at Jerusalem. This leads us to conclude that the church is representative of that kingdom. Thus, the dominion and rule of God exists IN THE LIFE OF CHRISTIANS who allow that rule. It is not forced on those who do not want it, but, also, Christians sometimes put things or people in charge in their lives in place of God, so it is a daily struggle to maintain and enlarge the kingdom, in our own lives and in others.

What is the kingdom of God?

*** The kingdom of God is a state of being that exists whenever the Holy Spirit accepts an invitation to indwell a human soul.

How do we seek the kingdom of God?

*** Through a lifetime of full and active participation in the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of the church.

And, if we are the kingdom of God, as some say, why would we seek something, if we are already a part of it?

*** Sin can result in the Holy Spirit's departure, leaving a soul empty, and subject eternal damnation. When that occurs, it's important to get right with God again as quickly as possible. The church is here to expedite that process.

Please refer to this verse:
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” -Matthew 6:33

*** Get baptized and receive the Holy Spirit. Have all your sins forgiven. Become a member of the church, and of the family of God.

Then, you've become a visible sign of the kingdom, subject to all the blessings God has in store, for those who love him.

What Matthew was referring to is the Church of God on Earth. It is often referred to as the Kingdom of God on Earth. He is saying become a member and live as Jesus taught and all things you need will come out of this.

First, we humans aren' t the kingdom...we will live IN His kingdom...just like the peasents in England during the middle ages...

The Kingdom of God is Heaven, Hell, Earth, the stars, etc...He created it all, therefore it's His...but many refer to Heaven, alone, as His kingdom.

We seek it through prayer, the sacraments, reading the bible, etc.

There is only one thing that last for eternity and that is our relationships. So,if we spend our time building relationships - with God and our neighbor - then we are all about the Kingdom of God.

human have the image, the goodness of God.
but the evil tempts people using the person's desires for pleasure, domination over others, egoism, to lead the person to disobey God, to sin..
so probably first you have to understand what is right, and wrong in God's eyes, but not what the person thinks is..
then at least he will try not to do what is wrong..
more, to do what is right.
