First brown 1lb of lean hamburger, half a chopped onion, 3 to 5 minced cloves of garlic and a can of mushrooms.

When that's browned, add 1 can of whole tomatoes, 1 small can of tomatoe sauce and 1 small can of tomatoe paste. Blend well with meat mixture.

Add oregano, basil, 3 bay leaves, sugar, black pepper and parsley to taste. Make sure to remove the bay leaves before serving.

This is a very easy recipe, and trust me, it's very, very tasty!

Simple spaghetti sauce doesn't really need the peppers, I think. But if you want to use peppers, you can.

First, sautee the onions and garlic and peppers together. Saute until the vegetables are soft. You shoudl also add some seasoning, like salt and pepper here. If you have some herbs, now would be a good time to add it too, like McCormick's Italian Seasoning, or fresh herbs.

Get tomato paste, and add that with the vegetables. That will cook and reduce. Cook the paste with the vegetables until it turns to a dark brick color. When that happens, you can add 1 can of some kind of meat/vegetable stock. Then add 2 cans crushed/pureed tomatoes. I highly recommend a bay leaf or two at this point. Let it simmer for as long as possible, then season with salt and pepper again before you serve.

I Hope you like this

SAVORY SPAGHETTI SAUCE

5 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 large vidalia onion
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 can tomato juice
1 15 oz can tomato paste
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup ketchup
1 green bell pepper, diced

Combine all ingredients except ground beef, in a large stock pot, bring to a boil crumble in the ground beef, lower the heat and let simmer for 3 hours.
This sauce is good for spaghetti, hot dog sauce, and just as a sandwich.

This recipe makes a lot of sauce, freeze extras in ziploc bags for future enjoyment.
