No,it's not selfish. That is normally how it should be.
Does he not care what would happen to you if something were to happen to him?
What was his reason for not putting you on it anyway? I can't think of one good one why he wouldn't.

Well, are you married? If not then there is no reason for you to be on the life insurance...Do you have children? If so, then the children should be first...You are kind of being selfish becasue you should not have asked...Let him decide whether you should be in the life insurance or not...I would feel really bad if i were your husband or man...You should really think about the threat you made...Your going to lose him and this question makes you sound like a "golddigger"...

I suppose the amount of time that you've been together should be taking into consideration before he goes and puts you on his policy as a beneficiary. You are only in post secondary school at present so your obviously not that old, as from your pic you don't look like a mature student but rather one who went directly from high school to post secondary. In my opinion you are being somewhat selfish by giving him the ultimatum of putting you on or dumping him. Fact of life is that it's his policy and as such should be his decision on whom he wants to leave as beneficiary if anything happens. Suggest that the two of you have a good heart to heart and discuss this situation like mature adults rather than saying it's my way or the highway. Good luck to you both.

If he has kids or any family then yes that is a little selfish. I mean if you are not married, then he should loOK out for his family if something should happen to him. If he has no one in his life except you really then no I thank that would be ok.

Yes! You are not his wife, so he does not have to do it. You sound like a gold digger to me. He has probably made his children (if he has any) the beneficiaries. He has the right to do what he wants to do with his personal affairs. If he is smart he will not put you on the policy. You sound like a controlling and manipulative woman to me.

is he your husband?
If not, hell yeah you are selfish and mean for demanding him to do or the relationship is over.
Anytime a girl has ever talked to me like that, its the last convo. I always keep watch for that true personality that comes out every now and then. yours just happens to sound like mean and self pleasing.

Who is?
Are you married?
If you aren't married than you need to chill out about it.
If you are then you need to discuss it with him.
Definately not something he deserves to be dumped over, but if I were him I'm be questioning your motives.
