To get in and out of the store as fast as possible, and to be organized so you know what you have purchased

Well, the only logical sense I can make out of your question is that when you shop at the grocery store the same way every time, you are less likely to forget something that you need.

I think that's what you were asking.

to stay on budget
to map out meals in advance and therefore have all the ingredients on hand so if say you're making tacos and forgot shells you don't have to run to the store just for that one item and if you're like me, you don't run in and just get that ONE item!!

By sequence do you mean taking the same path every time?? I do that in my bi-weekly mega-shopping trips to Super Walmart, walk the same path every time, that way I don't miss the items I need and always buy and it gets me out faster as I'm not looking around and figuring where to go next.

Plus, I hit the frozen foods last.

I put the heavy things in first , then the cold food, then the softer stuff like bread and eggs on top, so nothing gets smashed, and the cold stuff doesn't sit too long before I check out.

For me it's so I don't impulse shop and overspend. And if you write a grocery list listing the fruits & vegetables, meat, dairy, etc., that you want, it's easier to find in the store and you don't have to backtrack. CarolSandyToes1

Honestly, time is one reason....and it helps to eliminate spending that you would not ordinarily choose to do!
Like:
(Ah! Chips Buy one Get one Free! Great for my arteries!!)
NOT!
Start with a need-to-buy list...that helps a lot.....then
By shopping 98% of your basket from the 3 outside walls of the grocery, which are usually: Fruits/Veggies, meats and cheese/dairy...you will create the healthiest diet for yourself if you are interested in
no prostate problems,
no diabetes,
no heart failure,
lower cholesterol,
and the like.
The interior aisles are filled with salt/sodium riddled canned and pre-pared or pre-packaged quickie things for consumption, created to last forever.... and they are filled with all kinds of preservatives....they do not preserve your innards, as we say in the south!!!!
oh, did I miss your point....sorry, ya got me started....I want you to live long and well, so shop wisely, invest in your 401K, or get a safety deposit box, and put the savings away for your retirement, for if you think it is expensive to be 24?
The wait til you are 60, 70 or 84!!!
No, go shop, and go $AVE...$omething EVERY Week!!!!
Watch it grow and be wise!
Good Luck!
