I have had them in my fridge for about a week and a half and they are looking a little shriveled. But they are not slimey or bad smelling just a little dried out looking. could we get sick if we cook these?

those ones are probably okay to eat. (ok as in, you won't get sick, but they are not at their best taste) anyways, eventually, yes, they will go bad. if you buy mushrooms and dont cook them after 2 or 3 days, just stick 'em in the freezer--they freeze just fine and cook up normally afterward.

If you always have a bad trip it's probably because your body (or mind) doesn't agree with hallucinogens. Mushrooms can give you bad or good trips depending on the environment, the company and yourself. If you consistently have bad times, then it's more likely you than the outside influences. Acid will be 10 times more intense so either don't do it, or start with a very small dose (with a positive mindset - don't assume it will be bad because then it will be) just to see how it's going. If the trip starts out bad, at least it won't go on too much longer, and won't be quite as strong as a bigger dose.

You will definitely know if a mushroom has gone bad (not good to eat) by the smell and feel. The ones that you have are still fine for cooking but have definitely passed the point where you would want to eat them raw, as in a salad.

Mushrooms do go bad like all things. You shouldn't eat them after they have been in the frig. for awhile.

If they are hard, don't use them. They have been dehydrated and won't taste too good. Fresh is always best unless you buy them already dried.

Hope this helps.

Yes they do. I don't believe they'll make you sick but why would you want to eat them when they're no good anymore? Buy new, they're cheap.

i would slice them and saute with onions, butter and garlic. server with burgers or steak. they will be okay cooked but i wouldn't use them raw in a salad.
