No way in Hell should Trinidad come back. He should have stayed retired in the first place as an undefeated champion. Instead he had to come back and he tarnished his legacy by getting his *** kicked multiple times. Since Felix was last seen being Winky's water boy before the Hopkins - Wright fight, I think it is safe to say Trinidad is done.

Tito should not come back the fight against Winky was more than just a bad style match up. Tito Looked old you could tell his brain wanted to do certain things but his reflexes would not comply. he got hit with four and five punches from a very dilberate (albeit skilled) puncher in Winky Tito could see all his punches but couldn't get away and couldn't get off himself. Now he is going to fight Roy Jones at 168 without a tune - up? That's insane! And his Dad should be ashamed.

This depends on his weight. He was obviously more effective at 147 lbs than at 154+ lbs. If he can't make 147 lbs.....there is no point in returning.
Even 147 lbs has it's problems. The welterweight division is hot right now. At 147 lbs, at least we know that he would be the most competitive he can be. There are some tough guys there.....a real task.
Would he be competitive? There's only one way to find out...get in the ring with some journeyman and gage where he is at.
If he can come back at 147 lbs, then he should at least give it a shot. He definitely needs to ease into it. Jumping in with the likes of Cintron, Williams, Cotto or Margarito would be too much considering the time off.
Trinidad @ 147 lbs would definitely be interesting.
The other thing that would help him is getting a corner that will deal with his skills as they are NOW, and not what they were years ago. He needs to get someone that can honestly access his skills.....and apply it to the current welterweight landscape.

First off i hope that Trindad dedicates himself to a couple fights if he does fight in 2009.Not one every couple years. Tito was a great fighter and i would hate to see him come in at the weigh in all flaby like he did against Jones Jr. i think the best option would be fighting at 160 lbs. against someone like John Duddy (25-0) who is still a prospect but has a big following in New York. Where they can fight in MSG or Atlantic City. Possibly during the Puerto Rican Day Parade on the under card of Cotto-Margarito 2. Another option could be Sergio Mora a notable name, former champ, with not a lot of punching power would be a good fight to come back to. Also, Felix Sturm the WBA middle weight champ. Most known for his close decision against De La Hoya who many argue he won could also be a good first fight option. These are all good setup fights to give Trinidad a higher likely hood of winning a fight to gain momentum against someone like Oscar De La Hoya, Vernon Forrest, Bernard Hopkins or possibly even Shane Mosley. Other options i like are at 168 vs. Allan Green ,Jeff Lacy or Carl Froch to setup a fight with Joe Calzague. Which could be a fight Calzague would like to take being that he's on a legends past their primes tour.

First I don't think he should have retired. Second I don't like his father training him, he never tells him the truth. He was getting his *** handed to him against Hopkins and his pops kept telling him he was winning the fight. I think papa Trinidad needs one of those slaps he is always giving Tito. I think Tito should stay way from Roy. I know its out of the question, but if he can he should go to welterweight, that division is on fire!! The guys that are at middleweight or above will kill Tito. Or at the very least he should fight the rematch with Delahoya at 154, I think he owes it to the Golden boy..

I love Tito until the end however, I am a boxer and I understand that inactivity plays a huge roll in a athletes game specially boxers. If you are a swimer, a runner, a hiker you can gain your abilities slowly back. When it comes to boxing it a matter of coordination fitness and mental alertness and if you let yourseld go up in weight your mind losses that discipline. I am a dvoted fan of Tito we went together thru one semeter in college in Cupey but I am not blind. When he made a come back and fought vs Mayorga he showed a lot of ring rust however we the Puerto Ricans looked with our proud harts and not our analitical eyes and start believing he was ready. He is close to 200 pounds and his father can not take him to the next level in training anymore. He was suppossed to change trainers long time ago
ask Fres Oquendo when he lost to David Tua. Peolpe I hope I am very wrong but I do not want Tito to loose his legacy. Today Even if Tito was the first boxer to defeat Oscar Chicken de La Hoya is the only one that get his picture in the cove of the Playstation 3 game along with a former armed robery jail inmate Bernand Hopkins and not a clean person like Trinindad (not counting his child out of wedlock)On another topic but related Puerto Rican forget and forgive to fast, it trully bothers me how the Puerto Ricans kissed Oscar de La Hoyas' swetty balls while he was living in Puerto Rico like slaves making him feel like a God. When is a fact that he is a racist mexican.

If his mindset isn't right and he is just doing it for a payday, he shouldn't. He wasn't ready for Winky, I don't think his mind was in the fight which is a big part of the game. I remember G Ruelas vs Gatti and Ruelas just didn't want to be there. I think Trinidad is a great fighter but the question is now does he want to anymore, if not stay retired he could get hurt.

Absolutely, Tito should come back for one more fight, it should be against Oscar DeLa Hoya, and he should demand a ten foot by ten foot ring. I think it would easily out gross the Mayweather/Hatton farce, and be a much more competative fight than Mayweather/DeLa Hoya.
I always liked Tito, and if anyone deserves one more final BIG payday before he gets voted into the hall of fame, it's Felix Trinidad. Tito was good for boxing, and I for one would like to see him one more time.

yes,i would like to see tito fight some more,i think he should get rid of his father as trainer first ,and try the 154 lb limit.his father did not have him prepared for either hopkins or wright,he did not train for fighting southpaws.he needs some warm up fights before jumping in to mix of the top jr middleweights and stay out of the middleweight division he isnt big enough there, and doent need to go there anymore there are plenty of good matches for him at 154 not like when he moved up 7yrs ago.if he can get back to form he can be a threat to anybody.

I would like to see it only to see him redeem himself... Hopkins is a cheap fighter and would die before he actually mixed it up with another boxer, he disrespected our flag by throwing it to the ground and threw rice at Felix to mock him, he has no repect and rightfully doesn't deserve any... I would love to see Felix come back and woop his dirty fighting *ss...
Winky, following tradition, is an even BIGGER sucker... He hides behind gloves that look to be the size of Socker Boppers, and just jabs... Winky is no boxer, but Tito should've been more patient, he should made Winky have to fight to win instead of being so aggressive against such a cowardly defensive "boxer."
If he came back to beat both or one of them (Hopkins preferably) then I would love to see it
