This is a tough question. Thank you for asking it. In reality it is more likely for a chicken to have a nose than lips. If it did have a nose it could maybe play the nose harp. As far as whistling I suspect it would struggle with this since they eat such dry feed. Perhaps it would be better to search out a chicken who could dance. Then you could have a dance partner for the Friday night dance downat the Union Hall. Just a thought. Whatever you decide just love your chicken for what it is.

u know the strangest thing parrots and chickens both have beaks and a tongue. but then a parrot can whistle but a chicken cant. that's strange. well then again their both different types of birds so wat da hell. but i dought a chicken with lips could talk. but maybe if it had a tongue like ours, teeth, lips and it was smart enough to either watch people, and try to whistle like them, or just get taught by another chicken or something. i dought it that a chicken could whistle if it had lips. also if u cant talk u cant whistle. well thats at least wat i think.

I don't think so. Cows have lips, but don't whistle. In fact, I think the only species that whistles with lips is humans.

My cockatiel whistles and yet he has no lips.
My teakettle whistles and yet it has no head.
Trains whistle - wind can whistle - and yet ....
my husband has a head and lips and all he can do is blow out air. Go figure.

I used to work on a chickin farm, in Somerset, and I know for a fact they make a noise out there bottom when they fart that whistles. So there !
