It is written that whatsoever you do to the least of your fellow man so shall ye have done to me. OPbviously I am not homeless ( or why would I pay for internet and not shelter) and again I am not hungry as why pay for luxuries when you have other concerns, I merely ask sight unseen would you help your fellow human.

Hmmm... fine question.

Depends on how you smelled.

In all seriousness that is perhaps my favorite Bible passage. I wonder what Jesus would think about his self-titled Christians who only read Leviticus when it comes time to be bigoted, but ignore it in favor of their own 'vices' (which in Leviticus include wearing two different blends of fabric at once). I believe Jesus would have felt exactly as many Christians make homosexuals feel - that he was being crucified for being himself. I don't personally believe in God but if Jesus was anything like he's supposed to be I think he'd be shocked and sickened by the hatred and the violence and the way, more than 2000 years later, people still use the Old Testament laws only when it's good for them or agrees with their prejudice. Jesus certainly would have been smart enough to know that laws must be changed as the times change. Sure, Leviticus 20:13 clearly states "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

You know what else Leviticus said?

Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of Cattle (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't have a variety of crops on the same field. (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27)

Any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed. (Leviticus 20:9) Have you ever done that?

If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. (Leviticus 20:10).

If a man sleeps with his father's wife... both him and his father's wife is to be put to death. (Leviticus 20:11)

If a man sleeps with his wife and her mother they are all to be burnt to death. (Leviticus 20:14)

If a man or woman has sex with an animal, both human and animal must be killed. (Leviticus 20:15-16). (Yeah, because animals are such willing participants, eh?)

If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18)

Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death. (Leviticus 20:27)

If a priest's daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake. (Leviticus 21:9)

People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18)

Anyone who curses or blasphemes God, should be stoned to death by the community. (Leviticus 24:14-16)

One must wonder why there are so many people wanting to site Leviticus for gay bashing, but they never mention these rules. It is common that a Christian will blow off these old rules with "Jesus came to change the laws, so these are outmoded, and we don't need them", but throughout Leviticus God states that these laws are to be followed forever. Strange, huh? No. Times change. We have learned to farm better. We have learned that what someone may have deemed a perversion 2000 years ago, like wearing two blends of fabric, is no longer a perversion today. What I despise most of all are the so-called 'Christians' who tell me that God thought homosexuality was a perversion but NEVER mention the Leviticus passages they break each and every day. Adults can give consent. Animals cannot. Children cannot. Thus, we no longer stone children or burn animals when some sick human tries to 'get with' them. There is nothing any more perverted about homosexuality than there is about heterosexuality. Love and lust exist throughout the physical and emotional realm. For everyone, however pious they'd like to seem to be.

Jesus would have felt persecuted by these haters as well and he would have realized that the world hadn't changed one gosh-darn bit since he left it the first time. He would have been disgusted by the way many 'Christians' interpreted the tales of the Bible to make themselves seem righteous and those unlike them seem like pariahs. He would have seen the same damn world he got crucified in, and he would have left just as quickly as he came.

If you were starving, I would buy you food to eat. If you were homeless, I would offer shelter through paying for a room or hotel, but also get you the help you need to have permanent housing, food, clothing and even a job.

Great Question!!! Thank you for the insight!!!!

I'm Wiccan...just in case Christian answers are the only one's your interested in (no offense intended of course; merely fair distinction on my part.).
but yes, I would feed you and yes I would shelter you...my opinion is that if i have the resources and it would not cause me to be very hurt (notice I DIDN"T say inconvinienced.); than I should share....than I have every reason to.
I know this sounds corny, but that's seriously the only reason I'd want to be rich, so I could help friends && family && anyone else who extended a desire for it....

Of course. And I wouldn't pawn you off to some charity either. But then again, I'm not a Christian.

Yes. But maybe not in my house. I'd try my best to make sure you're OK though.

Oh I would for sure by you a burger if you were starving. It's a buck a McDonald's. As for shelter I wouldn't want a stranger in my house. But if your cute I could make the exception (wink wink nudge nudge). I kid on that I really wouldn't want a stranger in my house for too long regardless.

Christian charities and organisations are already doing that, regardless of race or religion, all over the world.
