you need to buy a pumice stone. you can get it at the pharmacy or in the cosmetics dept with all the spa stuff.
In the summer your feet take a beating with samdals.
You should scrub your heels with the stone while in the shower, do this every day and you will find a big difference.
also when you get out of the shower, dry your feet well and if you have time and are sitting around home, put some plain vaseline on your feet and rub it in good, throw on a pair of socks and leave them on for 30 min.../your feet will be very happy and well moisturized and won't have the tendency to crack.. so much,. make this your routine and you will see a difference....

I have the same problem! The pumice stone doesn't do anything for my heels.
I bought one of those callous removers with a razor blade in it (from a beauty supply store that carries nail salon tools). It does a good job of removing the dead skin, but I really don't like to use it because I've cut myself too deep a number of times.
I'm *starring* your question and hope you get some good answers, cuz I need 'em too.

a pumice stone or this thing that's almost like an emery board for the feet---avon puts it out. It's less painful than a pumice and it works really well. Look in the foot care aisle of your local walmart or wherever where they have the odor eaters and foot cream and stuff, they have some things there that will do the trick

soak your feet in hot water with Epsom salts in it=then scrape off dead skin with a nail file =then put cream on your feet and a pair of socks to keep moisture on feet =you may have to do this a few evenings before you get all the dead skin removed =then keep moisturizing your feet all the time after that

You can try putting a mixture of sugar and lime juice and massage your feet for like five minutes, it will remove the dead skin and leave your feet soft and fresh, you want to wash them in warm water when you are done. Hope this helps

Scrub your heels with a pumice stone every morning at the end of your shower (when the skin is softer), and a heavy cream on your heels. At night, you can wash your feet with the pumice stone and use Vaseline on your heels. Wear a pair of cotton socks to bed.

Pour moisturizing lotion or moisturizing conditioner in socks and put them on and put your feet with the socks on a plastic bags and wear them all day, or as long as you can, them they should come off easily with a pumice stone. it would be good to soak them on warm water first.
