Hi Jessica,

Your story touches my heart. Of course, you're sad and upset that your grandmother is so sick. That's not what you wanted or imagined.

I must tell you that your story filled me with sweet joy that you DID make contact with her after three years of looking BEFORE she passed on. There is something truly special about that timing.

Although, it makes you upset and sad, which is only normal, you can bet your grandmother is happy and joy filled, beyond what words can say, that you found her.

It's called God's timing. You've given your grandmother one of the greatest gifts she could have possibly received by your presence. Three years in the making, it is a pearl of great price...more than that, it is priceless.

God bless and be well.

Kelley

With hospice life expectancy can be anywhere from 6 months to a year less than 6 months to a year usually up to 6 months spend as much time with her as you can when the cancer has spread to the brain it's not a good thing I know this is not easy or what you want to hear just be glad you have time with her and enjoy the time you have

Don't even think about spelling something wrong right now.
I'm glad that you have finally gotten to meet your grandmother and am sorry that she may be gone soon. I don't believe anyone can give a time when she will be gone, but be with her as much as you can and show her as much love as you can. If she can still communicate, perhaps you and she can talk.
God Bless you and your grandmother.

Stage 5 in cancer usually is regarded as terminal and untreatable.
It is rare for someone to last more than 6 moonths after this diagnoses, although there are always rare exceptions to every rule.
Once hospice are involved, it is usually a case of keeping her comfortable and pain free.
I am glad you were able to meet her before she goes.

sweety, brain mets can mean a few days to a few months. there is no true deadline or guideline for a doctor to tell you. i'm glad you found your grandma. make the last days special for her by being there for her and telling her about your life. ask her questions about her life so that you know where you came from. take pictures with her and tell her that you really love her. a short but loved life is better than a long and lonely one.

It's hospice.

She doesn't have much longer if it has spread to her brain. I would say days. My aunt died 2 days after her cancer spread to her brain.
