I know my father woudnt have want me to change the date but i just want to know if any of you guys think its ok for me to have it

You are right, he would not want you to change the date. We went to an annual holiday party just 4 days after the wife was buried. He still had the party bec she always loved having them. It was a nice tribute to her. Other people will understand how you feel.

No it's not too soon, if anything i would think that he would be happy to see you and everyone else around you happy and having a great time. He would want everyone to feel joy and not relish in the sorrow. sorry for your loss. I hope you do have the party, live it up for all of us :)

I'm sure that your father would want you to go ahead with your plans.Make sure that your mother has the money before you make big plans.Your father will be watching you.

Its only your choice you decide if its too soon for you or not its good to have a fun time with friends and it might cheer you up but its only your decision.

But just like how you said before your dad would want u to have it so go on with you plans.
But if its gonna make you feel better to change the date then do that.
