This is gonna sound weird, and it doesn't work on me but I know people who swear by it.
Put a layer of ice cubes in the bottom of a foot pan (anything big enough for you to stand in will work), put it on the floor of your shower, and stand under the water in the ice with the water as hot as you can stand it. The combination of the two extreme temperatures kind of shocks your brain out of the migraine. For some, just standing on something really cold is enough
For me, I got a mask from my neurologist that has eye openings and is full of gel - I keep it in the fridge, and when I need it I put it on and OMG it feels so good. The cold kind of pours into my eyes, and by the time the gel gets to room temperature my headache is gone - but you have to catch the headache as soon as it starts. The longer you let a migraine sit, the stronger it gets and the less likely you are to get rid of it.
Between migraines, try 50 mg of zinc every day. If you have excess copper in your system like I do, the copper might be what's causing the migraines. The zinc will neutralize the effect of the copper, and keeps the migraines away. If you have enough copper in your system it's Wilson's Disease, but some people have just a little bit too much copper and the zinc does the job nicely.

You need to be prepared for your next migraine. Get a Rx for Imitrex 50 mg and get a bottle of Excedrin Migraine. The next time you feel one coming on take one of each pill together with a full glass of water. No more migraine.
It works like a charm for me - and I get severe migraines. Imitrex by itself is mediocre, and Excedrin doesn't work at all for me. But both together really work well.

try a quiet dark room - attempt to relax and see if this helps.
turn off everything.
i suffer from them as well. get some motrin to have at the house when this happens. that's the fastest solution for me.
