im a 19 year old female.
and i take a multi-vitiamin as well as b complex
daily how much fish oil should i take? if any?

Depends on your situation, but generally go with the recommended amount stated on the bottle. 1 - 2 capsules at the minimum up to 4-6 capsules (1.5g) ...but this will depend on the capsule size also. With fresh fish oil capsules, you can probably get by with a little less.

A friend mentioned that you really can't overdose on fish oil because it's not like a vitamin, mineral, or prescription drug...it's a food supplement. Overdosing on fish oil capsules is like saying someone is overdosing on fish...there's nothing really wrong with that.

900-1000mg a day of omega-3 fatty acids are required
fish oil capsules might say they contain 1000mg/capsule but not all of it is omega-3's, usually its about 300mg so you would need to take 3 capsules of fish oil to meet the requirement
