Yes, I do worry about it. But I just can't help myself and I think they know that.

And I have it on good authority that Tragic Typos worries about this also.

I don't mock people's beliefs I question why they feel, believe or think that way.

I often find the ones that feel the most threatened by probing questions are the one's that are the most serious about their belief. I get reported all the time for that.

And they don't want to know or learn anything else and are not curious about why they believe as they do.

I think they are afraid they might be wrong. No one likes being wrong after making such a huge emotional investment.

Man,I worry about a dog's feelings if I accidently pet him too roughly.lol I am way "too" sensitive, though.

Yes,I do wonder quite often about other's feelings and try my best to avoid hurting anyone..I guess I just assume that everyone else is like me.. though, most of the time,I'm sure that it is just in my mind(thinking that I have hurt another's feeling),But I am the same either on this forum,at work or at the grocery store. Great, now I'm starting to open up and be real...Let do something funny, now.

I would never post something if I thought it would hurt anyone, whether it be a friend or not.
It is almost always hurtful to me.

I am a Christian, and I am hurt by some of the rude and nasty questions that Christians ask atheists. It hurts me more than the rude and nasty questions asked of Christians, for I think we ought to be better than that and not be so unkind.

But then I am overly-sensitive and emotional.

I know I've mocked a few, but I never actually thought about it that way.
I've always thought that I was just saying something about the belief not the actual person, but .... yikes .... now that I think about it:

I'M SORRY!

I think this is the first time that I've had a 'light bulb' moment on here.

Thank you!

I don't think I've mocked anyone else at least I hope not

actually I am far more concerned with myself mocking Christianity. There are some very witty people on here and I OFTEN want to jump in but have to bite my tongue and not say the joke that I want to because ultimately it would dishonour the Lord AND cause His beloved to in turn disrespect Christians further....it's a very difficult line and hard for me.

blessings :)

If I write a question and reread it and think it might insult someone on here, I'll try to reword it. And if I still think it might insult someone, I'll delete it. There are a million other questions to ask that won't insult anyone. Why hurt one person to make 10 others laugh? That is not worth it to me.

Yes.

I am guilty of that. I have definite beliefs and some things really irritate me. Like the bible. There are several Christians that I like and respect very much. I do not want to hurt them but I may do that sometimes.

How do I avoid that without biting my tongue?

Today, yesterday, and earlier I've posted numerous attempts at humor involving religious dissent, atheism, Christianity, scientific folly, and un-civil discourse.

I didn't exempt my own faith from my jests.

So far as I'm able to tell, Christians, followers of the religion of science, atheists, and pagans are all taking themselves so seriously there's no room for humor and no perception of it.

Just grim, defensive, condescending frowns, corrections of grammar and spelling, religious and atheistic pedantry, and ill humor.

Whew.

But I don't care. I'll continue.

Some, not all, questions may simply be an attempt to get some folks to think outside their beliefs. Not a bad thing necessarily. We all should be open to VALID questioning of our faith.
