Feelings of quilt are valuable when they help us to learn from past mistakes and sins, so as to hold us back from future actions that would damage ourselves and other people.

If you feel guilt because you hurt someone than you must make amends to that person.

If you feel guilt because of some idiotic religious dogma you should get over it and get a real life.

I don't have a sense for quilts - or any other form of sewing, although I wish I did as it's a skill I admire. If I applied myself to learning and prayed for assistance, I'm sure I could learn to quilt, even if I didn't become a quilt expert. I believe prayer is a powerful thing - it could help me with something as seemingly small as learning to quilt, or as large and difficult as dealing with guilt when I've done wrong.

It depends. We do not always need to be saved from a sense of guilt. Sometimes the sense of guilt can be valuable and useful to mold future thoughts and behaviors. It can also keep us from doing something wrong in the first place.

However, if you are feeling guilt for no reason or if you are guilty for something you've done, then yes, you can pray and obtain relief. You can ask God for wisdom and guidance on ways to alleviate the guilt. You can also pray for the knowledge and strength to find a way to make amends to the person whom you have wronged. Once you've done something, as much as is possible, to correct the wrong you've done, you can also seek forgiveness for yourself, both from you and God.

Guilt, condemnation or conviction.

When we feel condemnation from a mistake, there is no way to make it right. It is,"I am bad. There is nothing I can do about it. I am a reject.".

When we are convicted in doing something wrong by the Holy Spirit, then we are to confess our sin to Jesus, and He is faithful & just to forgive us our sin & cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is a way to make things right. For Jesus Blood atones for our sins. And we are made the righteousness of Christ.

Feelings of guilt can be the Holy Spirit conviction, where we must pray. It is a command, or feel guilty or suicidal. We have to confess it to Jesus. Learn what the root of the problem is. He promises to make us right. It might be hard to go through this sometimes, or it might be corrected in a moment.

But there is therefore now no condemnation, for those who are in Christ Jesus. That is abiding in Christ. Trust & obey, there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, is to trust & obey.

Prayer is very good but if we do/think the same sins over and over, maybe we aren't saying the prayer genuinely.
Prayer is something that we need to make a part of our life and if we can't let go of the world we got a real problem.

Guilt is pointless. It does nothing but make you dwell and spend energy on something you do not like. Guilt has no place in our hearts and brings our society down. Nothing will help your guilt more than understanding God loves you unconditionally. And, without your mistakes you would not have remembered Who You Are.

Never feel guilt and remember that you are Loved, unconditionally. If you cannot believe God Loves you without condition, regardless of your errs, then you will sit in your cloud of unhappiness and constantly look up for approval for the rest of your life. Let it go. We all love you no matter what. We have all made mistakes. Stand proud in your faults, know them and let them go. Guilt gets you nowhere.

when we pray we talk to god
when we talk to god, one thing that we cant forget to discuss with him is our sins
god can take away the guild feelings, how? he forgives
and also, he helps us deal with our sins or problems and help us heal the wound inflicted by the devil which includes the guilt feelings
yes, when we feel guilty it may help us to avoid future mistakes or sins, but it is not necessary that we feel guilty all the time, the feeling is not good and not of god, god can take that away when we talk to him, that is, when we pray

No, I think kicking off the covers in the heat of passion will save me from my sense of quilt.

Sense of guilt, well that's another story. The answer is still no, however.
