Well how old are you anyway? If you're too young, that's understandable. I disagree that she might know more about him than you though. I know extremely protective mothers and they normally know nothing about their daughter's boyfriend or crush. Believe me, there's no use arguing, nothing will get through to them. Just pretend like you're going to the movie's with friends and meet up with him while there or do something else like that.

She's lived longer than you, and she knows more. Probably knows how to spell. Maybe she knows something about this boy that you don't know.
