This might seem funny to you, but my purpose is to die to myself and serve Christ.
And that's what I am doing here.

I really don't have a will to live. To me, we are no more different then a simple plant. What purpose for life have they made for themselves? What makes them different from us? What drives them to live? What drives me to live is human instinct. I can wake up one day and decide I'm gonna stop eating, but doesn't mean it will follow through. Or holding your breath. Try to kill yourself by holding your breath. Ain't easy is it? We really are no different then plants other then we have more body parts that work together that enable us to function like a human giving us different abilities such as thinking and speaking. So we are also no different from rocks other then they are missing the parts that make them live. Of course species have their own characteristics. Our flesh isn't rock, but you get the point. Humans are just lucky. We have a purpose as much as a rock does to live. What is a rock or plants purpose in reality? To balance it out. We are just another part of reality.

To learn as much as possible about everything that interests me.
To experience as much as I can - to build up my knowlege of the world.
To strive for the next stage in life - now, I am a teenager, but one day I should like to be an adult, a mother, a wife, a dedicated Christian, and when I have these things, I shall look to being an OAP, and shall daydream about doing crosswords in the sunshine in a house with the mortage paid off and comfy pension!
To grow spiritually, to get closer to God and the Ultimate Truth.

When I was a little child, up to about age 6, my purpose was fun and exploration of nature. Age 6-12 my purpose was seeking beauty and truth. Age 12-25 I became very disappointed in narrow-minded Protestant church teachings, so I called myself an atheist --which shocked many. Strange to understand, even during this atheist period, I did strongly believe in Absolute (unchanging) Reality and in infinity -- probably mostly not personal. I continued my studies and work in the hard sciences and math. Ages 26-36 I gradually changed to an agnostic, but was very skeptical of all human knowledge about Reality which I was seeking still. Age 36 I am reading a book on Absolute Reality which confused me. So I asked sincerely (and silently; I don't think in words) GOD ! IS THIS REAL ? I then was immediately given a fully in and out of body experience of "WOW ! I am just like me !" (a perfect duplicated soul out in space and thinking in perfect "stereo" with my mind in my body.) Seconds later, I am partly Deep Mystery up at the ceiling plus being 100% soul out of body and 100% the same physical me holding the book. (much left out to keep this short)
For the next year, I read and ernestly reflected on the Bible, spiritual books, other religious books to see if God is Personal, and to see what, if any, is the difference between God and Jesus. Seek some and you shall suddenly be given MUCH !
Age 37, May 24, AD1977, I am suddenly given the Sacred and Transforming Vision of God and Jesus ---two Lights in/as One infinite Light ... I am immediately taken up into God in Jesus on Paradise ... Coming back down here to lowly earth was a challenge for about 10 years. From that BirthDay of Spirit Birth in Jesus and in God the Father-Infinite I AM, I am an ambassador of Living Truth then and now and forevermore.
Here is one way to share some of this Great, Good News Gift of our Father and Son, One in Spirit to all Humans:
IT IS DONE !
Each and every Human here is now God's Beloved son !
BE NOW the son of God in Jesus that YOU ARE !
Thank You our infinitely loving Father God !
After I wrote that, I later saw a similarity in the Bible. See Rev 21:3-7
So, there is no "What" that drives my life; Jesus Christ Michael, now fully here in Spirit, is my Sovereign Creator and One GODMAN Father-Friend-Elder Brother WHO perfectly "drives" with "enTheos-iasm" my Spirit-led soul into the Father-Infinite on infinite-sized Paradise, and new universes beyond ...
What a Glorious trip into Paradise and Finality Destiny ! Enjoy the endless, ever ascending Views ! in our Father and in his perfect Light and Life !
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian

We humans cannot find peace of heart unless we find meaning in life. Meaning is that in which our hearts find rest. We never achieve meaning as one achieves a purpose, by hard work. It is always received as a pure gift. And yet we must GIVE meaning to our lives.
How can we do this? Through gratefulness. Gratefulness is the inner gesture of giving meaning to our life by RECEIVING life as a gift. The deepest meaning of any given moment lives in the fact that it is given. Gratefulness recognizes, acknowledges and celebrates this meaning.
"Enter God's gates with thanksgiving, and the courts with praise! Give thanks to God; bless God's name! For Yahweh is good; God's steadfast love endures forever, and God's faithfulness to all generations." - Psalm 100,4-5
Peace and every blessing!

Life in itself has no meaning. The purpose of life is to eat, keep from being eaten, and reproduce. That's it.

I am here to please God.
He is mainly pleased when we love Him above all things and love our neighbor as ourselves. Those are the incentives and the goals.......even if we are not always perfect in carrying them out. God knows "our frame":
Ps 103:10-14
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Spiritual growth and learning.
Then when everything else ***** up and there's nothing left, you can still go on with purpose and tolerance without earth based matters influencing you so much.

My purpose is to serve God in what ever way He leads me. Each day I ask for Him to lead me in the path He would have me walk. Sometimes I tend to stray, but He will always lead me back to the path He has chosen for me.
