Convenience. They like to think themselves better than everyone else.

Atheists and gays are NOT bad people. I have friends that are both. I love them with all my heart. It's just what they believe. And I also believe that people shouldn't force the bible on people. I'm vegetarian { not the same thing but a small example} and my graqndparents and parents and many more people read things in the bible talking about how meat was for us to eat. It's what I believe doesn't mean I'm not going to heaven. God loves everyone. Why can't he love gays? In Romans it talks about gays. But in the bible it talks about how he loves you if you believe in him you will also go to heaven. The ten commandments don't say anything about not being gay. As, for Atheists, I don't have anything againist you but I can't really say anything about god or the bible to "help" or anything. The bible says love your neighbor as yourself ...... I don't like myself at all but I give everyone a change and try to love everyone but if you get on my nerves bye bye! I'm a Christian and I don't deny Christ. And I don't deny people including Atheists and Gays. Politics are idiots anyways and try to make people follow them so why don't they make their own religion. Politics shouldn't deny anyone anything because what people believe is what they believe and the more people force someone to do something different the more they will do it the opposite.
Hope I Helped-----sarah

I am a Christian, and I don't think a person is bad, unless they are, and I don't decide that by what religious belief they hold or their sexual preference. Those that do are just ignorant. They are focusing on the wrong thing... And as I already said in another answer today, for Christians, to not follow Jesus as He did then you are more like a (your name here)-ian. He preached love, not oppression and name-calling.

Cos basically they need to feel superior to as many people as possible.
I reckon they hate anyone who is not in EXACTLY the same sect/strain/breed of Jesus enslavement as they are.
I've heard some sects say Catholics aren't Xians and I'd suggest many Catholics would say everyone outside Catholicism in not Xian.
I admire people who do the right thing because it's the right thing to do.
I don't trust people who get their morality from a book because they don't live from the heart; fear controls them.
Frightened people are dangerous people; they become mobs who attack anyone who is different.

They aren't biblically literate, and are buying the gospel of hate their prosperity movement preachers are selling.
Jesus, according to the Bible, was a politically liberal Jew who cared for people regardless of whether or not they believed in him. He even healed a man who believed in the same gods as me, according to the Bible.
These hate-gospel types need their money changing tables overturned.
Jesus never taught homosexuality was immoral...nor atheism. To quote the prosperity movement's jewelry...WWJD?
Edit: Jesus also didn't come up with that hate the sin nonsense.
Edit redux: To quote a Christian, only I'm saying it accurately...if you give me a thumbsdown, you're thumbsdowing the Bible.

I don't. Atheists and gays are better people than some Christians are.
They have better morals than some Christians. Some of the worst hate mail I get here is from Christians (fundamentalists).

Those who think atheists and gays are bad people believe only they have the capacity to know and understand Christ. Anyone who doesn't share their precise beliefs and "pick and choose but claim not to pick and choose" mentality is wrong, evil and condemned. It's one of those "letting your pride have power over you" things.
Fortunately, these anti-everyone else Christians are not the whole face of Christianity and the rest of us just need to speak up louder so as not to be lumped in with them.

Basically, they don't understand how a person could be of good character without fear of retaliation from a higher power. It's a mind thing with them. It's almost like they see us hang gliding through life ready to do wrong at the drop of a hat.

Atheists, because they deny the reality of the most cherished of imaginary concepts of Christians.
Gay people, because a few choice lines out of their Textbook suggest that homosexuality is "wrong."
And as for "Hate the sin, love the sinner" - I'm gay, and speaking for myself, I have no problem whatsoever with you admitting that you hate ME. I actually have more respect for people who say they just find homosexuality "disgusting" than with "Christians" who cite Scripture to justify their irrational hatred.

Nose,
There are people from all walks of life who look down on others. I do not do so. I have seen Christians, Muslims, Atheists, and Agnostics do the same thing. Please don't take it too badly. Our GOD does not tell us to do this and HE will Judge each of us in the end. Have a great week.
Thanks,

I dont think being gay or atheist makes someone bad by default, nor does being Christian make someone good by default. What I think about a person is based solely on how they behave.
