There are many conservative Christian groups that do not allow the women to wear pants. Jesus didn't command against it, but the NT teaches modesty and the OT teaches no cross-dressing. Some people interpret all that to mean that women shouldn't wear pants.

When I first got saved I always wore dresses, but then after a time of being saved I came to realize women can wear pants. I believe in church we should wear dresses, but out in public pants is fine. I do believe if we wear pants they should not be hip huggers and low riders, but modest. If God deals with a woman about pants and that it is not right then she should obey God. God will work on the things he wants us to change when he sees the need.

Christianity is a relationship.
Their are many Christian sects that are the same as far as conviction but are more "strict" in it's teaching.
Many Conservative "legalistic" sects have certain rules to follow in their churches.
Some don't like dancing, or drinking/smoking or as you said wearing pants.
It is not Christianity thats at fault is is how man interprets it.

I believe her. As much as I like to see women wear dresses I would have to say that the church that she attends is rather legalistic. They have conveniently isolated a part of the Law of Moses and are most likely expecting her to live by them.
It doesn't mean that she is not a Christian. It's just that they are building on wood, hay, and straw. It's a carnal attempt at faith.
( she will NOT see it that way though. Being called a legalist is not a good thing, especially with the legalists.)

no pants is a very conservitive view. its baised on a law from liviticus that says men should not wear womens clothing and women should not wear mens. it also has to do with modesty the bible says that wome and men should dress modestly and for some people pants on a woman seem imodest cause they show the shape of her legs and butt

lol well
would you believe the one about "you can't be in the same bed as your wife when she's menstruating?"
Or the one where " a woman has to shut up and nod in the church"
Or how about "you can sell your daughter to be a slave"?
Of course I'm paraphrasing but hey, those rules are up there in the Bible. So not wearing pants really seem pretty mild to me...

Amish, Quaker, there are still many religious sect's that do not allow certain things in their lives. The true question is does she know Jesus as her personal savior?
