R134 can be bought at WALMART FOR $3.00 A CAN. All car manufactures switched to 134 refrigerant in the early 90's

All vehicles since the early 90's ('92-'94 was the switch) use R-134a.
You can purchase this stuff in auto parts stores in some states...some states won't allow it to be sold to consumers or people who don't have the proper licensing/certification.
If you happen to live in one of those states that doesn't allow it, check out eBay. You can get it pretty cheap on there.

Since R-12 was discontinued in 1995 in the US, chances are it uses R 134a. You can buy recharging kits at all auto supply stores and many discount stores like Wal-Mart. No license is required for using R134a.

R-19, but they don't make it anymore.
134-A is the new freon used to replace it and a retrofit kit can be purchased at any auto parts store.
It has everything you need, including easy to follow instructions to do the job.

r-134-a better check if you need to be certified or you will be fined rather hevfty too not worth it
