I'm looking to buy the Gazelle, but want some input as to whether it really does shape your tummy, arms, legs, buttocks, etc, as advertised before I go & spend my money on it! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

any form of exercise when performed properly is a good thing. in terms of fat loss the diet determines how fast you will (or won't) see results. many think that they can exercise and still eat junk food all the time.

take a look in any gym anywhere in the world and 90% of the people there will look exactly the same in 10 years because they refuse to make "all" of the necessary changes to the diet to see optimum results from exercise.

Don't buy it! You'd be wasting your money big time. I have one and I've tried to use it, but I've seen no results despite using it for 3 months. Without the retention things, it is way too easy to have any benefits and only someone as ripped as Tony Little could use it with the retention for more than a minute. I couldn't do it with the retention and I am very fit. I play on a basketball team, I work out and I jog and I found this machine a waste of money and the retention was crazy difficult. Instead, buy a treadmill, bike, or a pedometer and walk those 10 000 steps a day for free. :)

Any fitness equipment that tends to be sold via infomercial and on late night tv is almost guaranteed to be a waste of money. Anything that claims to be the miracle "fat reducer" with only "X minutes a day" is probably not going to work unless you are 600 lbs overweight, in which case just rolling over would be a great workout.

Have you ever noticed how you don't see any late night infomercials that try to sell you a bench press or squat rack? The equipment that works sells itself. Best pieces of equipment for getting your whole body into shape: shoes, bench press, squat rack, pullup bar, barbells, dumbbells. With your shoes, step outside, measure out 100 m. Sprint that distance. Do it again, and again, and again. Wow everybody! Look at the amazing results! I almost can't believe my eyes. With the rest of the equipment, lift some weights, and lift some weights that actually make you realize you have some muscle. Your body reacts and grows when it is handling new stress. The pink 5 lb dumbbells are NOT gonna do it. The 25 lb iron dumbbells just might. You won't get bulky because bulking is not easy, even for those MEN who try really hard.

I'm not very impressed by this exercise machine. I think you could get exacly the same benefits from brisk walking - it's cheaper and you can change the scenery (outdoors) so it would be much less boring. The same thing applies to treadmills - just go for a walk!

I have one, I use it. basically the only thing it does is burn calories. I made myself go ten miles on it without stopping and it took me two hours and after THAT i felt a burn in my legs. but if I dont do over 5 miles I feel nothing.
