What are some good free websites for learning Japanese?

How is it? How long did it take you to learn Japanese? Thanks!
(I also googled it, but...I wanted answers from the people who already learned (or learning) the language through the website)

I have found several sites dedictated to learning the language, I started to study Kanji, and have found loads of sites dedicated to learning.

The best way to learn something as complex as a second language is to emerse yourself in the culture and see, hear and feel the world around you. This way you have a way to reflect and recall what you've learned more easily. In a sense learn without really knowing you're learning. Get some Sticky notes and start to learn some basic words and propper pronuciations of those words. Write the kanji on the sticky note with the pronuciation, and refer to that object in spoken Japanese. Just one way to emerse yourself in the lessons.

There are YouTube videos dedicated to learning Japanese. Or do a Google search in the video section to search the entire web for related videos.
