There is a difference between Gender and species. Gender is within the species. Male and Female. Think about it, would you say the smartest creatures are:
1. Man
2. Male Dolphin
3. Female
4. Female Dolphin
No you wouldn't say that. Oh, and if you took it the wrong way I don't think women are any smarter then men.

For a start, the supposition that dolphins come second to man in the intelligence stakes is debatable (as this question demonstrates).

Dolphins choose to spend all day playing enjoying what is there.
It can be debated that they are smarter than us.
However - as far as progress down this issue -
I agree with pamiekins.
Your only supporting argument is that your mother maybe more stupid than you.
She fed you.
What was she thinking.
Please don't represent the male perspective on gender issues again progress is never made with judgments.
More progress is made when "we" (males/females) adopt a team mentality for mutually agreed to objectives and methods, and bring our own unique virtues to them - empowering each other and growing ourselves from unity.
Your comments are useful to women as it does allow very easy selection on genetic elimination.

My favourite dolphin friend is still laughing so hard that her fins have gone into seizure, the idea that man or woman even belongs on the same scale !?!
The last thing I heard her say was :
