YES! She can wear the Christian shirts. It is one thing to say SCHOOL officials cannot pray, use Christian art, etc..but the kids CAN! Do NOT let them tell you that you cannot. Take it to the Superintendent's office! And, an atty. My daughter did a project where they had to "take care of" an Egyptian god and goddess...of course, I didn't hear about it until the class project was over! I am so mad. They cannot learn about Jesus but can study god and goddesses that some DO believe were there???

There is more than one way to find out ... use the force ...

Personally - I am not a christian and seeing my Loving Heavenly Father and his son run in the dirt really used to get my goat ...

Christianity (by and through Nimrod who formed the Babylonian Mystery Religion later to be renamed the Catholic church and then all her daughters that split from those organizations to think they are different when even the Pope is standing up now and saying you all are the same ... god worshippers) has really only one problem ... and that is education.

If they were educated in peace - you would know peace and not war ... if you were educated in truth - you would keep the Sabbath on Friday sundown to Saturday sundown and would stop keeping the Catholic/Babylon Mystery Religion's sabbath on the 1st day (SUNday) instead of keeping the 7th day as commanded ... BUT; claiming you all know the truth while being taught the fairy tale that you will go to heaven - when the scripture is clear that ONLY the messiah would and has gone to heaven ...

Heaven is coming to earth - and is almost here ... soon after the christians push the buttons on the weapons of PEACE ... the earth will be enveloped in a layer of debris that blocks the sun and makes it appear as if the moon would be turned to blood ... a nuclear winter that will then open all the christians minds that they finally done it ...

By destroying everything that can bring life ... they will finally realize that there is no hope of life ... then they will truly believe and seek those whom the loving Creator and his son has prepaired to teach you all and save your god worshipping buttoxes ...

You will all then turn to our Creator and BE SORRY YOU EVER CALLED HIM NAMES - like god or God ... lord or Lord ... El and Adonai ... you will all repent for calling him Allah and all these titles and names for Satan the Devil ...

Maybe you should get your daughter a shirt that reads:

"If you christians were so smart ... why would Rev 12:9 have to have been written???"

Peace;

I may not be christian but I still agree with you, and I think it is absolutely stupid your children were suspended from school or got in trouble over something like this. Seperation of church and state, and the first amendment, is supposed to promote freedom of religion not hinder it. You and your children should have complete right to express their religious beliefs as they wish, and I believe we shoudl all extend the same courtesy to people of any religious belief. I think your childredn should have the right to wear a t-shirt with a christian religious slogan on it. I am a Wiccan priest, an ACLU member, and one of the founders of the Pagan Rights Coalition, and I still feel very strongly that your children should be allowed to express their religious beliefs, including on something so silly as a t-shirt. If someone wants to wear a christian slogan on a shirt, or a pendant of a cross, no one should say otherwise, and if someone wants to wear a pagan slogan on a shirt, or a pagan symbol on a necklace, the same should be allowed for them as well. I think this whole arguement, especially in school has gotten way out of hand when people just need to learn to live together and respect each other's beliefs. If I disagree with what is one someone's t-shirt, it may be my right to disagree, but that does not mean I think they should not be allowed to wear it. If I do not like the t-shirt, I don't have to read it. Just a little rant here, but even though I do not share your beliefs, I think the school is in the wrong here and your children should have some right in the expression of their beliefs.

Well, I'm an atheist, but I'd happily defend your kids' rights to wear religious shirts. It's unconstitutional for the school to tell you that your kids can't wear these.

I have no doubt that evolution is a very real thing. If your kids don't think so, then that's perfectly fine. However, it's not your place to deny this scientific theory to be taught in schools.

Live and let live.

Yeah, I understand the non-religious clothing is bad. Sad isn't it? But, the parents are some what forced to have to buy their kids clothes that are 'modern'. Short skirts, etc....But nothing religious. That's a democratic liberal for you! Buy your kid what you want. If the school calls you and tells you to pick your kid up at school....HOLD A SCHOOL MEETING WITH THE PRINCIPLE!
Don't let the public schools tell you your kids need to wear anything but, respectful pieces of clothing. Freedom of religion doesn't stop at the enterance of the school's door!

Here's a link to another question I answered about this to some of the same idea. (Althought, I will probably get a lot of thumbs down..Oh well...it's how I feel.)

You'd have to check with your school district on their dress code. I'm an atheist, but I support your child's right to wear a Christian shirt as long as my son can wear an atheist shirt. Censorship in all forms is wrong... just don't read it if you don't like it.

Evolution is real and factual. What side of the evolution arguement did you fall?

I don't see why not your not promoting drugs nor alcohol or fighting or gang activity. So yeah besides my friend wears a shirt that promotes the devil which mind you I'm totally against. But he's never had a word said to him. So I would say yeah she can as long as they meet requirements and don't make any references bashing any religions. But yeah I think she should be able too.
Best of Luck,
Hope I cleared up the matter some.

If they are offensive then they shouldn't wear them. Although checking the dress code is the best idea.

Edit: I VERY much doubt your son got suspended for making one comment. I am VERY certain something else happened since if it didn't the media would have been contacted and it would have become a scandal. Besides that, your faith is stunting the child's development so stop forcing it on him.

If you want to know if something is against school policy, then you have to ask the school. It's the only way to know.

More than likely they will want to see it to make the decision as to whether it meets school policy or not.

So take the shirt to the principal and show it to him or her, and ask if it would be ok for your child to wear, or whether it violates school policy. They will tell you, no worries.

She can wear them as long as the school doesn't have a policy against shirts with logos or shirts with religious motifs. But they cannot single out a specific religion and ban its expression.
