I'm a 14 y/o black male who doesn't listen to a lot of rap, I don't wear baggy clothes, I use proper english, I have more white friends than black friends, I'm really smart, and the only sport I really play is soccer. Am I really acting white?

The best you can do is to try not to let them hurt you with their words the best thing for this country is POSITIVE black role models, I have had two black (female) supervisors in my job life, one I modeled my own supervisor attitude on, she never asked us to do anything she would not do, and if we were overwhelmed she was always right there to help us out.
The other was one with a fully open door policy and was a good friend to everyone she worked with, I am pouting because she is not going to be at our job site anymore, but I am happy for her as she has gotten a promotion.

I'm going to answer this question being completely honest. Okay. so just bear with me until I finish. First of all white Americans run the country and are the majority. Society (with most of that being white Americans) has a consensus that white people are more intelligent and that black Americans are not. Black Americans were kept in poverty and out of the education system by white Americans. This kept black Americans "stupid" (please note that is in quotes). Also, Black Americans began to develop there own culture and own past times. White Americans began to deems these things a bad, unintelligent and other things I can't say. One example is rap (most white Americans don't think very highly of rap). This is why certain thing are deemed "white" and other things as "black". While things like music, clothes, speech shouldn't define you....in the end they do. Is sad really. While society may say one thing about you---you need to tell society that you don't care. You're not "acting" like anybody. You are "being" you. Be who are. If you don't like baggy clothes or rap then you don't. Don't be someone you're not. Sticking with the crowed will get you no where fast. Be an individual..be yourself.

I feel your pain, b/c I am in the same boat. It erks me to no end when people say i am acting white. Just b/c some of us choose not to leason to music that degrades women, and has had a large helping hand in the down fall of socity, or speak as if we have a brain in our heads, and choose to do things that arent stereotyped for use to do, doesnt mean that we are acting like we are a different race.

BE YOUR SELF AND IGNORE THOSE WHO SAY THAT.

and YES i am black! and YES he and i act simular

I don' think I can really answer your question but I want to encourage you to be yourself and don't conform without some really good reasons. Conformity is not necessarily bad, but it is bad when it is done without thought or given into under pressure from others. Listening to rap doesn't make you black, none of that stuff does. Work on improving yourself, and then when you can, reach out to another so that you can help them improve themselves.

No, they are just ignorant. I don't think there is a such thing as "acting white or acting black". I don't know why it is labeled that way. There is no law that says just because you are black you have to listen to certain types of music or dress a certain way.

What does it even mean to act "black" or "white" or "brown" or "yellow?" A person's skin color should not dictate their personality or their character. A person should be free to be an individual, leaving skin color out of it.

The way you act, you are just acting like "you" not "white" or "black." You'll be fine. Keep your chin up.

Good for you. The black "leadership" and liberals want to keep blacks locked into stereotypical roles of ignorance and violence. It makes them easier to control and keeps them voting Democrat--which is all the liberals really care about. Rise above the crowd.

No, you're just NOT acting like guttersnipe trash.
It's not acting white to have class and pride in yourself and your appearance... It's called acting civilized.

Why do people insist on labeling each other?

You are "acting" like yourself. Who else could you be?

Life is way too short. Be true to yourself.
