Just always think that you are going to hit the ball cleanly and that it is going to go exactly where you want it to.

Just think of everything that you do positively. Don't add up your score until the end. That way you don't feel pressure on the hole. Also never second guess yourself. The first club you picked is more than likely the right one and your brain told you to pick it for a reason. Also don't think about the bunkers or the water. The main reason that they are there is to mentally distract you. That way, you say you are going to hit it and are already negatively thinking, then you do hit it in the water since your mind told your muscles what to do.

Read The Golfer's Mind by Dr. Bob Rotella he is a great author and it is a great book. He worked with Padraig Harrington during the time in between 18 and the playoff with Sergio and helped Padraig rake in a victory.

Be like Peter Pan, think happy thoughts.

Enjoy the scenery. Listen to the birds and birdies will come.

Walk leisurely. Do not wish your opponent negative things. Praise a good shot.

Practice & visualization!

If you practice enough and can start consistently hitting the ball better, you'll become more confident and won't worry as much about hitting a bad shot.

Visualize the shot that you want to hit......take a deep breath, relax, and then address the ball.

Have fun and play with people you like playing with. That will make it easy to think positive.

envision the shots in your mind, the flight, where you want it to land, then where it lands...make sure that the last thought in your mind is the positive result that you want... to carry a hazard, to land near the hole...in time you will find yourself hitting it closer...
