People are being too harsh about Riverside. I spent 15 years there and don't have one complaint. Sure, this town has its crime and illegal immigrants, but what town doesn't. If you look at your local home depot, you would see day labors there. I currently live in Irvine and I see them here.
Riverside to me is a middle point. You are about one hour and a half from LA, OC, and SD. Plus rent is more cheaper here compared to the other counties.

Depends on which part you go to. I live in the city right next to Riverside. Some of it is nice. My dad lives in the nice part of Riverside in a really nice apartment. Then, there's downtown Riverside. I hate going over there. It is full of homeless people and women that look like hookers. Stay out of downtown Riverside, and you should be fine.

Riverside has many areas in the county. UCR is downtown and near there is CSDR. There is also Beaumont, Moreno Valley, Corona and Norco. In South Riverside going toward San Diego, there is Hemet, Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, San Jacinto and Wildomar. Many developing communties and luxurious homes being built all the time.

Riverside is nice and cool, but it is too hot summer weather. Many people alway complain and frustrate about no enough swimming pools in Riverside. Riverside is stupid to build all houses without swimming pools. They should built with swimming pool with every house!

Needs an overhaul big time..After years of neglect most of the area is a breeding ground for crime.
They had no plan in the beginning to seperate the industrial area from the residential areas..so it's just one big mess.

I grew up there. I lived there for 30yrs. Very smoggy!!! Tooooo much traffic!!! Schools are jammed packed!! It is not nice anymore!! I am glad to be out!! ******** It is not far from anything!!! Everything is there. That person who said that has NO idea!!!!!!!

Never being there;however, I have heard negatives and positives things about that city. I have heard there are alot of good hard working folks and I have heard negatives stuff too, I have heard that this alot of crime, and racist people.

What do I think of Riverside??? NOT MUCH. Full of illegals, hot, dirty and hot and dirty. Yuck....

Hot and dirty. Kind of ghetton areas. very secluded and far away from markets and supermarkets
