There really is no answer for this question. Any breed is likely to bite it depends more on the owner of the dog, how the dog was raised than the breed.

It depends on how well the dog is trained. ANY dog can bite a children. My husband and I used to breed Pit Bulls and they were sweet as can be. Our neighbors have a Golden Retriever that would take a chunk out of you in a heartbeat. It really just depends on the dog.

No specific breed. A well trained dog is least likely to bite anyone.

The APBT is the greatest dog there is. It is a great family dog and is very good around children. They can be aggressive to other dogs but not people.
Mine will lay on the floor next to my baby grandson for hours. She will let him play with her ears while she licks his toes.
She loves anyone that comes to the house. She was raised with my other two dogs, a Chi/Rat Terrier and a Beagle, and they run around and play all the time.

Any dog is capable of biting a child if provoked or threatened. The key is not to teach the dog how not to bite, but to teach the child how to treat animals with respect. In addition to that, small children should not be unsupervised around dogs.

I would get a boxer, I have 2 and they are the best with babies and kids. Small dogs seem to bite kids more because they get tormented easily by children. Boxers are great family dogs and I have never heard of a mean boxer!

A dog that has been properly raised as a puppy, (doesn't leave the litter before 7 wks), is socialized (taken to puppy kindergarten) and followed up with many many obedience classes, is sound in body & mind is probably least likely to bite.
Compared to a dog who missed that important 7th week with the litter, has never met people outside it's family, is tied up outside for days on end, and has never been taught manners or basic obedience.

Dogs usually bite children because they make them nervous of hurt them or pull their hair. Any dog will try to defend them selves so if you don't teach your children how to act around your pet then they may be better off not having a dog until they learn. I think a larger dog would be better such as a Lab.

It all depends on how well the dog is socialized and trained. Also, children should be taught how to behave with dogs and should never be left unsupervised with a dog. It is not acceptable to allow a child to pull on ears, poke eyes, etc. That's just asking for trouble. No matter how well behaved the dog, they all have their limits.
