submissive wetting or urination is a normal behavior. Its the ultimate show of respect and deference for higher rank.It occurs frequently in young puppies who have not yet learned and perfected other skills and means of showing respect.submissive wetting should be ignored. if you try to reassure him, he will think you are praising him for urinating and will urinate more. ive looked this up found info at perfect paws .com

Submissive peeing in dogs indicate that they are usually an omega dog. They show submission by rolling over on their back and peeing. In some situations they just pee where they are standing without the roll. The roll indicates submission by exposing the throat, the dogs most vulnerable area. Submissive peeing occurs when the dog detects possible aggression. This can be actual aggressive behavior or just meeting a stranger. The dog is showing that it will not be aggressive by the submissive peeing.

In an ultimate submission state, some dogs will lay on their back and urinate on themselves. That is the only kind I know. Just google it or but a dog behavior book by bruce fogle.
Good luck!
