of the universe and explain other phenomena in the world. They also involve heroes and gods and try to teach some sort of moral.
According to Georgia College & State University,
"Myths are symbolic tales of the distant past (often primordial times) that concern cosmogony and cosmology (the origin and nature of the universe), may be connected to belief systems or rituals, and may serve to direct social action and values."

The Bible explains much more than creation. What's more mythical? A greater being creating everything or everything coming from nothing. Creation from nothing defies ALL science but science keeps making discoveries that reinforce the Bible. Let me tell you what GCSU doesn't. Jesus is the Son of God and He really lived on earth. He committed no sin and died on a cross so that we would have a choice to live in heaven forever. He did this for you and me and all humanity. God loves people who believe the Bible to be His inspired Word and He loves people who believe the whole thing is myth. He loves those who love him and He loves those who hate Him or think He doesn't exist. He also offers numerous chances for people to change. I pray that you seriously consider what you believe. Look at it this way...if you follow Jesus and God doesn't exist, when you're dead, you're just dead. If you follow Jesus and God DOES exist, you'll never be dead.

Yes, cosmology, but you presume falsehood too quickly because of some inherent bias. Christians believe the Bible to be true because they know it contains the way of salvation. Why turn down the offer of eternal life in heaven?

They are not myths.
All of the evidence we have fits the Biblical account of creation and the worldwide flood. Fossils do not need millions of years. The Bible is historically and archaeologically accurate.

Yes, myth is one of many literary styles used in the biblical texts to convey truth. Truth conveyed through myth, analogy, parable, etc. is still truth.

sorry but, it is commonly seen as history, seeing as most of the things explained in it can be proven. Such as Noah's ark ( which was found!) plus, it also speaks of many kings and pharoahs that are present in our major history books.Did you also know, it speaks of many revelations that come true, such as the world beinmg ROUND! it took us many years to figure that out, but the bible says it thousands of years before. The bible is TRUTH! Go find Jesus! :)
