The Sinai is like a wolf in sheep's clothing to me; it seems calm and peaceful but it is really viscous and deadly...

...but I only feel this way because I was visiting Na'ama Bay on July 23, 2005. Bad timing I guess, for most I am sure the Sinai is a great destination!

Edit: I don't understand why people are giving me thumbs down! Do any of you even know what happened on July 23, 2005? There was a terrorist attack that killed around 90 people. Thus, after seeing all of this the Sinai is not my favorite place! And for that I get thumbs down! This place can be ridiculous!

For me the Sinai is a relatively large piece of land that is underpopulated and full of potential.

Its a shame the Egyptians do not capitalize more on it.

But I have been thinking that maybe when Israelis finally realize that the "two state solution" will never happen they could purchase the Sinai from the Egyptians and pay the Palestinians to move from the West Bank to the Sinai.

That way the Egyptians get plenty of cash to put into their economy and an Arab neighbor instead of Israel.

The Palestinians get more land then all of Israel, and get paid for it.
and the Israelis get their historic homeland in the West Bank.

I relate Sinai to unfairness. Israel defeated Egypt in 4 major wars ( that Egypt and its allies themselves initiated), and to make peace the Israelis gave it you guys. Look at the Sinai today, under Egypt its a wasteland. But when Israel gave it to Egypt they had to uproot whole cities full of people and move them out. Besides Egypt is a big enough country not to have Sinai, and another thing- SINAI IS NOT ON THE AFRICAN CONTINENT, SO GEOGRAPHICALLY, WHY SHOULD EGYPT HAVE IT? its like Turkey owning thay little bit in Europe. Not fair, as I said.

Asalam alaikum, I find it ironic and disturbing that so many fought and died to return the Sinai to Egypt, yet the majority of tourists there are Jews.....makes u wonder.....But its also how Egyptians go on and on about the '73 war, there is the museum and all the displays, but the look the jewish tourists and their $$$ and all the western aid money.....So proud to be muslims, but statues of the worst man in history all over the place (firon) ....
