I like a white boy right now, and me and my homeboy got into a argument . He told me I'd be a sellout if I dated a white boy, and that I'm making it harder for black men. I've dated black boys before, I just happen to like a white boy now. I told him I don't understand why it's alright for a Black man to date a white woman , but it's not okay for white men and black woman to date ? I'm not racist either; so cut that crap off. But Most black men date latinas and White woman now, so why isn't okay for a black girl to date a white boy

Your friend is an ignorant fool who believes that one set of rules apply to him while another is for you. I have been in this same situation and I have tired to get an answer from some black men and women as to why it's okay for a black man to date outside his race, but not alright for a black woman to do so as well. I never got any coherent answers, all some black guys would tell me was that it just was not "right" or "natural."
What I think it is, is racism, prejudice and the idea that black women belong to black men. Some black men feel that it is their right to do whatever they please and stop "their" women from doing the same thing. This sort of male chauvinism comes out especially when a black woman dates outside her race.
Don't pay attention to what your friend is saying, this is the year 2007 not 1947, if you like someone of a different race, it does not matter, you like who you like and date who you please. Good Luck!!! *u*

I think it may be jealousy. Many black men may just not like white guys dating their women. Its a tough issue. One of my best friends is black and I dont mcare if he dates white girls...as long as I'm not interested in them. But thats with all my friends
Your boy sounds like a complete racist hypocrite. I think this is racialy motivated and he probably thinks he deserves to date white women but white men have to just sit on the sidelines and let it happen without dating black girls. He's racist. Call him out. You date who you want.

Its perfectly alright. I understand where you are coming from, because Ive been in that same situation. The thing with me is I dont let others dictate who I should date, no matter what their beliefs/opinions are. I date only white men and as far as I know, its no one elses business but mine and the guy Im seeing. That friend of yours sounds like a jealous, insecure bum anyway. DATE THE WHITE GUY YOU ARE SEEING, THATS YOUR BUSINESS.

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Look at tiger woods, the golfer, who married a blond white female, they just had a baby. If all the famous colored athletes are marrying blond whites then it should be perfectly okay for the hot black females to hook up with blond white boys.
