Gettin a new laptop but not sure which OS to go with. This laptop will be used for both gaming and college. Thanks.

I'm not familiar w/ Windows Vista, but I'd say go w/ Vista since it's the newest OS.

I have been told the difference between XP and Vista is huge and that Vista is like looking at a foreign language....nothing is what you have been used to. Try it out where you are buying to see if you have the time to learn an entirely different system right now especially since you are in college and may not want to have to be retrained on top of everything else.

I would go with xp for at least a few more months until Vista hammers out all the bugs. Early January is when I plan to Swich.

I guess the person above was right , when saying he was not familiar with it.

If you want the newest OS , go with vista. If you want a non-buggy OS that actually works , get XP.

So, like I said...if you want a good , working OS , go with XP.
