Sounds good, though I would not serve both potatoes & rigatoni, too much starch. Serve some roasted asparagus, or steamed zucchini or other squash instead of the potatoes.

Let's start off with your first question: IMO, rigatoni is to thick and heavy a pasta to pair with Chicken Parmesan. I'd stick with something like Cappellini (angel hair pasta) or a spaghettini (very thin spaghetti) Tubular pastas, like rigatoni and penne are better suited to a main dish entree, and with more of a sauce that you typically find in a chicken Parmesan.......Second, you're gonna be going overboard with the Parmesan if you're having it in the chicken, on the potatoes would be redundant (two dishes, both the same flavor)......I also think that pasta AND potatoes are both starches, so again redundant......the Chicken Parmesan/pasta and a mixed greens salad with a simple vinaigrette would be best, perhaps with some crusty rolls to go along side.......I wouldn't do garlic bread, just a crusty roll to serve with the Chicken Parm.......Enjoy!!!

I think rigatoni would work just fine with chicken parmesan. As long as your significant other likes that type of pasta. The rest of the meal sounds yummy! Congrats on your first anniversary!

Mmm, sounds delicious! For the pasta... I personally dont think that rigatoni would be good under it. In my opinion a linguini would probably be the best. As for the combination.. I would say that the salad sounds great, but not the parmesean baked potatoes. Having 2 parmeseans would be like having a double negative! Maybe something like garlic mashed potatoes would work, or cheese scalloped potatoes, or maybe some garlic bread.. Hope this helps!!

Yes, you could use Rigatoni, i would also suggest Linguine or fettuccini. A Sald sounds ok, maybe a caesar. But that potato thingy doesnt sound ok. Too much parmesan stuff. Maybe scalloped potatos or sautee the potatos with onions, salt, butter and a sprinkle of parsley. Good Luck!!

Noodles are better, either fettucini noodles or egg noodles. Don't make potato at all. Make asparagus tips or your favorite green vegetable. No sauce. Serve a tossed salad and a nice white wine with dinner and have an extravagant dessert. Perhaps a cherry cheesecake. CarolSandyToes1

Personally (just my opinion--up to you) I would serve the chicken over linguine which is thinner, along with the salad, and a good crusty bread. He will love anything you make though, as you put thought into making his favorite foods on a special day.

well Jen it all sounds good but since this is your first anniversary why not go out to eat. it shouldn't be a day of cooking but a day of romance. just remember the cleanup .
