i've heard several times that chew/spit eating disorder doesn't work, because absorption of calories starts in the mouth. But, at the same time I hear of people who have lost weight doing this..
I don't want to do this, because it would be rather embarrasing, but i'm just awfully curious!

I would assume so since one is not actually eating food and the calories that may be absorbed in the mouth are probably very minimal.

I'm currently ADDICTED to doing that b.c... well, it actually does work. I'm really good at it. Hiding the food, sneaking it, throwing it away..etc. Certain foods are so freakin pastey in your mouth like oreos & chocolate. I usually have to eat it slowly & make sure I spit it out well. I sometimes allow myself to eat/swallow a few bites, but not enough for my body to respond to it/get fat.

I'm 5'3" & 109lbs... I have serveral bones showing, mainly on my upper bod just how my body is made. If I don't chew/spit regularly, I go insane & spazz out at everyone. I know I might have some psychological problems, but I am the only one to know how I actually feel. What I go through on a regular basis is pressuring. I don't live in a perfect world. Really, I don't I live in the ghetto & hate every min of it b.c this isn't my dating scene. I'm at that age now that I want a b/f, but it just sux around here. I hate it so much, theres not enough words to explain it.

in terms of macronutrients only simple sugars or free form amino acids could be digested through the lining in the mouth. it would take an awful lot of either of them to add up to a measurable amount of calories

remember the saying that "curiosity killed the cat..."

no, eating disorders do not work.

when you do things like that to activate your digestive system, it causes your body to bring acid into your stomach that's ready to digest food.

over time in doing this your body will get used to it and produce less stomach acid, which will make it harder for you to digest food, and in turn could slow your metabolism and cause you to gain weight.

the best way to lose weight is gradually. the longer it takes, the longer the results will last! exercise also, and you'll burn fat in your sleep.
