What type of cirriculm do you want to teach anyways?
If you want to teach Birth Control what kind?

Condoms only?
Birth Control Pills can be lethal to some people, I could never take them and never have since my Aunt died from BC Pills.

IUD's can cause women to become sterile in some instances
Condom's are not always completly safe.. If you teach sex ed then you have to be honest and say pregnancy is always a possibility when engaging in sexual activity

What kind of cirriculm do you want taught?

Hopefully, doctors will help create the curriculum. And yes, they should teach about birth control. They should teach about the various options available, and the pros and cons associated with each. They should teach how the female body and ovulation works. They should teach women that their cycles won't always BE "right on track", and that they can ovulate off their normal schedule on occasion. They should teach men and women that sperm can survive in the female body for up to three days, so you can get pregnant if you ovulate three days after having sex. They should teach that "pulling out" doesn't work, because men excrete highly concentrated sperm prior to ejaculation. They should teach that you can still get pregnant if you fool around in a pool. (Kids tell each other that the chlorine kills sperm. They tell each other things like that because we're not allowed to teach them differently for fear of offending someone's delicate religious sensibilities.) There's a LOT of things that everyone should know, and it's a travesty that it's not mandatory that people be educated about those things. I don't give a rat's butt about anyone's religion, children NEED to know those things. We'll leave the "morals" up to you to educate them about, but the physical facts about how pregnancy occurs should be mandatory.

I think the most conservative approach that should be taken is to allow school (i.e. biology class) discuss the reproductive system--the parts of it, how it works and how it can become infected or diseased. This should take place in an open forum where the teacher is free to answer questions. The morality of sex should be taught at home. This way the subjects are relegated to those who are qualified to teach them.

My high school sex ed curriculum was good enough.

Condoms, when used incorrectly, can lead to pregnancy. When used correctly, they seldom do.

Exactly like ropes and rock climbing -- use them correctly, you're fine, but you're still just using protection in an activity that always involves dangers.

Curious that Christian's aren't also protesting the rock climbing class I took.

I want to present the best health information that is available.

And yes there is a slight risk of death from the pill, but it is much much lower than the risk of death from childbirth. That is the type of thing that should be presented do that people can make informed heath decisions.

Everything you just said sounds great. let's get it in a text book and roll with it.
Except for your birth control pill thing. Everyone is allergic to some thing. No reason to bring up in school everything some one might be allergic too.

DO you mean curriculum?

I want parents to teach it and leave us alone. Let us teach Math, English, Reading, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, etc.

Parents need to take some responsibility.

I want an education program that teaches children that they have options when it comes to sex and that if they are going to have sex to use protection and the reasons why protection is good.

Explain the down side to each form of protection

In other words I want them to be educated so they can make informed decisions.

Before the government starts any program, they'll have to do their best to change the minds of the parents. It's unbelievable that there are still parents that refuse to talk about sex with their children.

Before we move on to Sex Education
There's something else I find compelling
I believe it a boon to our nation
If first we would focus on spelling.

"Cirriculm" isn't even a word, dear
Curriculum is that which you were after
Your orthographic approach is absurd, dear
And leaves us all helpless with laughter.
