We are keeping our options open and I was wondering if anyone knows of nice places to get married in vegas? I have looked up some places online but I get so confused with all the options. Has anyone had personal expericences so they can share? I don't want Elvis to marry us. We are on a tight budget and people have been telling me how you save $$ in Vegas because they have pckg deals. Also, so any places allow the ceremony and a reception? please help!!

hi there - most of the hotels have lovely chapels (we got married at the Bellagio last year and so looked at a lot!) but I also really liked Little Chapel of the Flowers and Graceland Wedding Chapel.

Wedding packages start at under $100, there are over 70 chapels to choose from and there are hundreds of places for a reception too. Try the website below that lets you browse all the chapels, and search wedding packages and reception venues by cost (there's an article in the online magazine about low-cost weddings and receptions in Las Vegas). The book Neon Nuptials is also really good.

Good luck!

My sister got married at The Grove in Vegas. It allowed the ceremony and reception. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the reception area is pretty large. They do offer great packages which even included the MC, coordinator, catering, etc. The only drawback I thought was that it was a bit out of the way from the city.

We're getting married in a couple of weeks at Ceasers and going to the stratosphere for the reception. I admit, I did go a little overboard on some things, but, its only cost us about 10,000. Seems like a lot, but, its way cheaper than anywhere around where we are from. That included photographers, video, rooms, flowers, muscians, food, table settings, etc. Ceasers has something in every budget, and so does the strat.

Best tip I found, when you book the reception, say its for private dinning. If you say wedding reception, they automatically charge you an arm and a leg. You can add on what ever else you want to do, and its still cheaper than the traditional reception. My friend who is a wedding planner told me that one.

I got married at The Little Chapel of the flowers...they made me feel like a princess The whole place was beautiful, and I felt soooo special... They worked with me, and I never got a "No" everything I wanted happened...go there, and you won't regret it... I paid $995, and then had a reception at the MGM where our suite was... I paid a total of 1500.00 for our wedding, and we had cake, photos, video, music, the whole things... Little chapel also has a package deal where they can do part or all of your reception as well...

I even had my husbands "UBER-Traditionalist" family loving it, and crying saying how beautiful it was.....especially after all they did was ***** for a year that I was getting married in Trashy Vegas! HA!!!!

We went to Vegas last year and had a blast! I would suggest staying away from Circus Circus and the Stratosphere, they are OK hotels with lots of stuff to do, but a lot of kids and not the greatest part of the strip.

Mandalay Bay, The Venetian, The Wynn, Bellagio, Ceasars are all pretty expensive but absolutely beautiful!

I'm sure no matter where you choose it will be beautiful. I found some links that may help you:

I'm getting married in September at the Flamingo in the ivy covered gazebo. A friend got married at Lake Las Vegas and it was beautiful! Both of these will host a reception also.

I got married at the Stratosphere. It's a bit kitschy in decor, but the view from the 103rd floor of the tower (where the chapel and banquet rooms are located) is PHENOMENAL.

We had lots of kids attending, and they were totally stoked to get to ride the rollercoaster and other rides during the reception while the adults chatted. Also, the Stratosphere's high-end restaurant does the catering for the banquet rooms. They put together a really excellent lunch buffet for us.

We had the Elvis package, but they have plenty of non-Elvis packages. It was really easy to plan.

Also, here is link for the florist who did our flowers. They did a really nice job. http://www.lasvegasbouquet.com/wedding.htm Their site is kind of cheezy, but try not to be scared off by it. The quality of the flowers they delivered was top notch.

Good luck!

My best friend got married 3 years ago at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino, outside by the pool in a private gazebo area. Then the reception was upstairs in a huge, nice room with tables, etc. It was a package deal, with photographer, flowers, DJ etc. It was beautiful and perfect for them. We had a lot of fun! Good luck!

Red Rock Canyon is beautiful but you can't have a reception there. Also, the reception is the expensive part. That's why it's cheap to get married in Vegas, most people don't have the reception.

My wife and I got married at Mandalay Bay. I was extremely impressed with not only the service, but the packages as well. We were originally going to get married close to home, but ended up saving almost $3,000 by going to Vegas. If you want a wedding with a little bit of a tropical flavor to it, definitely check out Mandalay Bay.
