Well... neither naive... nor am I a conspiracy theorist. My take is this: Lance has never tested positive for performance enhancing drugs. He HAS, however, used EPO in his cancer treatment. Lance is also a very sharp and clever guy.
Now that being said, I do not put it beyond the realm of possibility that Lance learned what it took to get to just below the threshold of the hematocrit test for EPO and could back off when he approached that upper threshold.
Still, one cant take away the fact that he is and still is a once-in-a-lifetime athletic specimen who possesses tremendous aerobic capacity, the ability to flush lactic acid from the muscles quickly and efficiently, and is one of the strongest TimeTrialists to ever ride in the tour.
NOTE: Wow.. I guess it is not nice to impugn SIr Lance on this board. Like it or not... give my post a bad rating if you wish, but the truth is that Lance 'could have' used drugs and figured out a way to not get cuaght. Especially given the fact that the criteria for detemrining if you are doping or not can be circumvented.

Lance has been the most tested athlete of all time and has never had a positive test, so I dont know what you are talking about.

then y is there no positive test?? yeah i kno some guys do it, entire teams probobly, but i don't think lance did, after cancer i just don't think he would do somthing that stupid, and most of all... no positive test

No way he was clean. I am so disgusted by these "pro's" and the teams as a whole. To work at McDonald's you need to pass a drug test- these teams need to take responsibility and test their own riders. Right now the entire sport is a disgrace and the sponsors are throwing away their money. It makes me sick- someone needs to stand up.....

he only tested clean when he knew he was having a test. the reason he got caught was b/c he was not warned before hand!!!!!!!!!!!!
