You're young, so there isn't alot to be expected of you. But to help out you can assist in planning (help pay for too) the shower/s, staggette party (bachelorette party), the day of you are basically at their beckon call, she says come you better come! You might need to have a speech (maid-of-honor especially) ready too. Don't sweat it. It's a day to get all dolled up in a fun dress and take pictures. Go with it, just ask your future sister in law "is there anything I can do to help".

Since you're not the maid of honour, you don't have too much responsibility. And since you're only 14, most of the responsibilty you would have had, will probably be minimized.

Typically, a bridesmaid will assist in anything the maid of honour wants to do for the bride (ie. planning a shower or a party). A bridesmaid will also assist in anything the bride needs help with. You'll go with everyone to pick out dresses for the wedding party and you'll be expected to go to the rehearsal to learn how you walk, where you stand, etc.

Don't worry, other than that you probably won't be expected to do much else. And no, speeches are not required from you, unless you really want to say something.

If anyone needs anything from you, they will ask. No one is expecting you to know what to do all the time. Just be helpful.

The good thing is that you are not the only bridesmaid, right? As a 14 year old bridesmaid, you should not be expected to do everything that the others do, like paying for the bridal shower, planning the bachelorette party, etc. The most important thing that you could do is to be excited for her and for the wedding. Make sure that you ask her about the plans and things like that.

All you have to do is look beautiful, smile for the pictures, walk down the aisle and listen to the bride and the maid of honor. They will tell you what they want you to do. Also you will practice walking down the aisle at the rehearsal dinner, so you will know where to stand and when to walk before the actual wedding.

So don't worry just have fun!

You just have to be at all the upcoming events, showers, etc. You really don't do anything at the rehearsal, reception or anything like that. You just share their special day with them, it is an honor to be asked so just be there for them and do whatever they ask of you to do to help them out in their big day.
